XAT 2025 Question Papers With Solutions - The popular Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is scheduled for January 5, 2025. This year, XLRI Jamshedpur, responsible for conducting the XAT examination, has brought many important changes in the XAT exam pattern. The XAT 2025 question paper is expected to follow the same difficulty level of the previous years with a few changes mentioned by the conducting authorities. A compelling XAT 2025 preparation through careful analysis of the XAT question papers, understanding all the important XAT topics and covering the entire XAT syllabus is essential for ensuring a good XAT score and XAT 2025 percentile. The XLRI will soon end the XAT 2025 exam. Students will soon exit from the exam centre and share views on the exam.
The XAT examination has undergone major changes for the XAT 2025 examination. This will also be reflected in the XAT 2025 question papers. Some of the notable changes include the reduction in the XAT exam time from 210 minutes to 180 minutes. The XAT exam 2025 will be conducted in the form of a Computer-Based Test and consists of two parts, an Aptitude Test and General Knowledge. The overview of the XAT 2025 examination is given below:

The candidates should also note that the XAT Essay Writing section has been scrapped from XAT 2025 onwards. However, it will be a part of the XLRI selection process later.
The number of questions asked in the XAT General Knowledge section has been reduced to 20 from 25.
There are no sectional time limits in the XAT 2025.

The Xavier Aptitude Test consists of four major sections namely, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge. The section-wise breakdown of each section is given below for the reference of the candidates.
Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VALR) is one of the easiest and also a scoring topic in the XAT examination. The candidates are asked 26 questions from this section. The most important XAT topics coming under this category are listed below for the reference of the candidates.

The decision-making section of the XAT examination requires the candidates to answer questions based on an individual’s personal and professional lives. In the XAT 2025 examination, the Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation section holds the greatest weightage with 28 questions. The major goal of the QA & DI section of the XAT examination is to examine the numerical ability and quantitative aptitude of the candidates. The skills of the candidates in solving mathematical problems on topics such as Geometry, modern maths, arithmetic, mensuration, algebra and so on are assessed in the XAT Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. Any candidate who has a valid Undergraduate degree from any recognised University is eligible for the XAT examination. Also, the candidates who are currently in their final year of college can also participate in the examination.
No. From 2025, the XAT examination will not have an essay section as a part of the XAT examination. This will be conducted later as a part of the selection process.
The candidates can consecutively skip up to 8 questions without inviting a negative mark. In case a candidate skips another question after 8 consecutive unanswered questions, they will be penalised 0.1 marks.

Yes, you can also join IIMs two years after graduation, depending upon the justification in interviews and your performance in entrance exams. If you are not sure about CAT, try those other management exams less hard:
Common Management Admission Test: Easier than CAT; 4-5 months of continuous preparation will suffice.
MAT : Much easier and takes place thrice a year.
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test): A bit easier than CAT, apt for Symbiosis Institutes.
Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT : Hence, easier than CAT but the unique decision-making section.
