Types of CAT Answer Keys

Two types of answer keys are released for the CAT exam. They are as follows:

1. Provisional Answer Key: This is the initial answer key, which is released by IIM after the conclusion of the CAT exam. This answer key is open to scrutiny, and candidates are given a window to raise objections against any answer which they believe is incorrect. All candidates will need to pay a fee for each objection raised. The main purpose behind the provisional key is to ensure the accuracy of the final CAT answer key.
   
   
2. CAT Final Answer Key: This is the revised and final answer key, which is released after considering all the valid objections that were raised by the candidates against the provisional key. The final answer key will be considered the definitive version, and the CAT results will be prepared based on the same.
