99+ percentile in XAT Marks: How to Calculate

Candidates can calculate the XAT percentile to see how many marks are required for scoring 99+ percentile in the XAT exam. The XAT score can be calculated through the XAT marking scheme, while you can calculate the XAT percentile using the XAT percentile formula. Candidates are advised to use the following steps to calculate the XAT 2026 score.

  • Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.

  • 0.25 marks to be deducted for each incorrect option chosen.

  • 0.10 marks to be deducted for skipping 8 consecutive questions.

For instance, if you answer 50 questions correctly and 10 questions are incorrect, and skip 20 questions unattempted, then your XAT score will be as follows:

(50x1) - (10x0.25) - [(20-60)x 0.10] = 43.5

For calculating XAT percentile, candidates are required to take into account of number of candidates who appeared in the XAT 2026 exam and their ranking based on the score attained in any one of the XAT sections, let's say, Decision Making. Here is the XAT percentile formula to calculate the XAT percentile.

P = [(N- r) / N] X 100

(N = number of candidates who appeared for the exam)

(r = rank of the candidates)

(P = XAT percentile)
