Candidates are shortlisted for the XLRI MBA admission based on their previous academic performance, XAT score, performance in the group discussion and personal interview. XAT shortlisted candidates must fill out the application form and choose a slot to attend the XLRI interview process. The XLRI released a notification regarding the documents needed to attend the XLRI GD/ PI rounds. Candidates who received the XLRI calls 2025 must submit the documents to attend further selection rounds.

During the XLRI selection process, the institute announces the XLRI result in various rounds. In case any of the selected candidates opt out, their seat is then given to the next candidate. This change in the shortlisted candidates leads to XLRI waitlist. The institute will release the XLRI waitlist in the month of February or April based on the number of students.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an approved university. Those who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the XLRI PGDM programmes.

The XLRI placement cell will release the final placement report on the official website. According to the XLRI final placement report, around 43.8% of students got pre-placement offers from various organisations, and 30+ new recruiters attended the campus placements recently.
