XLRI Jamshedpur has released the XAT admit cards for the XAT exam 2026 on December 25, 2025. All those candidates who have registered themselves for the XAT 2026 exam by December 11, 2025, will be able to download their admit card from the official website, xatonline.in. The same can be downloaded using the User ID and Password, as it won’t be sent by post or email. The XAT 2026 exam will be conducted online on January 4, 2026. All test takers will need to carry their XAT admit cards with them to gain entry to the exam hall. The XAT 2026 admit card has been released on December 25, 2025. All candidates will be able to download the same from the official website. Take a look at the following steps, which will guide you to download the XAT admit card.
Open the XAT 2026 official website, xatonline.in, on your browser.
Next, you will need to click on the login button, where you will be redirected to the portal. In the portal, you will have to enter your login credentials. To log in, you can either enter your email ID or XAT user ID and password, and you will be logged in.
Once you have entered, you will finally be able to see your XAT admit card at the top of the page, where you can click and download it.
Make sure you save the XAT 2026 admit card and take two printouts of the same.

The XAT 2026 exam will be held on January 4, 2026, and the exam will run from 2 PM to 5 PM. Therefore, all candidates will be required to report to the test centres by 1 PM. The exam hall gates will close around 1:50 PM for the authorities to conduct their verification.
After the XAT admit card has been issued, all candidates must look at the details mentioned on the admit card to look out for any errors. In case the details are incorrect, candidates must contact the relevant authorities as soon as possible. Here are some of the details which you must check if they are correct or not.
The candidate’s name should not be incomplete or misspelt.
The registration number of the candidate must match the one mentioned in the XAT application form.
The candidate’s date of birth should not be incorrect.
All test takers must check the exam centre, verify and then travel with arrangements.
Lastly, any candidate availing the PwD status, the same must be mentioned on the XAT admit card.

There is no strict official dress code is specified in the official XAT notification itself. However, based on recent XAT exam day instructions and past patterns, XLRI and test centres recommend a simple, comfortable, and easy-to-screen outfit. Here are some of the key points that candidates must follow in terms of the XAT dress code:
Wear simple and comfortable clothes. Make sure you avoid overly flashy, thick, or complex outfits.
You must avoid jackets, blazers, hoodies, or clothes with multiple pockets.
Candidates must also avoid heavy or thick-soled shoes or boots to avoid any kind of delayed security checks.
Both male and female candidates must avoid metallic accessories such as watches, jewellery, belts with metal buckles, etc.
Lastly, avoid clothes with large buttons, zippers or metal parts.
On the day of the XAT 2026 exam, all candidates must carry a government-issued non-expired ID along with their XAT admit card. Here are some of the IDs that will be accepted by the exam authorities.

All test takers must avoid bringing any form of electronic gadgets, such as phones, watches, or calculators.
Furthermore, students will not be allowed to enter the XAT exam hall with unauthorised stationery, bags/valuables, food/drinks, jewellery, sunglasses, or thick-soled shoes, as these are banned for security.
Backpacks, handbags, pouches, wallets, metal jewellery, bracelets, hairpins, and clips are also prohibited.
Lastly, any eatables or beverages (unless for medical reasons, check guidelines).

All candidates must bring two printed copies of their admit card. Those who will carry XAT admit card copies on their phone will not be allowed to take the exam.
After the XAT admit card has been printed, all must affix a recent passport-size photo with a white background. Ensure that the photograph matches the one used during the registration process.
All candidates must arrive early at the exam centre as indicated on the XAT admit card.
Make sure you only bring the original photo ID for verification.
All test takers will have to sign the XAT admit card in the presence of the invigilator at the exam centre.
You will need to hand over one XAT admit card to the invigilator. Make sure you have a spare one for future records.
