Past Academic Performance
In this category, IIM Nagpur looks at the candidates’ academic performance in 10th Standard, 12th Standard and Bachelor Degree exams.
For 10th and 12th Standards: The eligible applicants will be assigned rating scores "A" and "B" based on their percentage of marks obtained in 10th and 12th standard examinations respectively.
For Bachelor's Degree: The eligible applicants will be assigned a rating score "C" based on the percentage of marks received in the Bachelor's degree.
The following table brings to you the PAP Rating Scores
PAP Score for the candidate:
PAP = (0.25*A+0.35*B+0.40*C)/10
Work Experience (WE)
For the work experience of completed months x (at the time of CAT 2015 registration), the candidates will be assigned a WE score using the following formula:
WE = 0 for x < 6
WE = 0 for x > 60
WE = x/30 for 6 <= x <= 30
WE = 1 - ((x-30)/30) for 30 < x <= 60
The Final Selection
The final selection will be based on the ranks of the candidates computed separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/DAP) on the basis of their Final Scores (FS). The numbers selected in different categories will be in proportions mandated by the law.
The FS of a candidate, who fulfils the CAT 2015 cutoffs and who confirms the admission interest will be computed using the following rule:
0.50 * (CAT Total Score /Maximum1 CAT Total Score)
0.30 * (PAP Score)
0.20 * (WE Score)
IIM Nagpur will not conduct Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for the final selection.

Questions related to CAT
I am general cat Jharkhand girl student with jee main percentile of about 90.5 in 2020 so can I get bit sindhri?
As you have secured 90.5 percentile score in JEE mains from general category then your all India rank must be around 105000. Now if you want to take admission in BIT Sindri on the basis of your general category all India rank then yes, you can get admission in BIT Sindri as per seeing the last year cutoff Trends.
Here is the last year (2019) cutoff Trends for general category students on the basis of their all India rank for BIT Sindri for all branches :-
Mechanical engineering - 85548
Electrical engineering - 86089
Production engineering - 128980
Metallurgy - 96231
Chemical engineering - 121628
Civil engineering - 99706
Electronics and communication engineering - 69402
Information technology - 66486
Mining engineering - 107097
Computer science and engineering - 49946
So as you can see this year there is a chance that you can easily get chemical engineering, production engineering and mining engineering. But the chances are very hard for you to get civil engineering and metallurgy branch in BIT Sindri.
I got 346 marks.My air is 252953.My cat Rank is 27,147.Can i get seat?
You have provided all the details but have missed out mentioning the category itself,, considering you as General, from your profile it seems you belong to Telangana, chances for GMC is quite difficult in your case and further taking into consideration the fact that there are greater chances of cut-offs increasing this year make it more tough, you should try other options of private colleges or deemed universities regarding this, cutoffs vary every year based on multiple factors such as seat matrix, marks obtained in exam, toughness level of paper, total number of candidates participating in the exam etc. check out previous year cut-offs at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-telangana , to know more about admission possibilities in various colleges you can use our NEET College Predictor; https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

My branch is Electrical Engineering and in my college i have very less chance of placements . So what jobs should i go for so that it could be counted as work experience if I want to go for CAT exam ?
For MBA , work experience is not compulsory. You can get into MBA colleges without a work experience. It's like good food placed in a good plate. If you have a work experience you will get a good job or with more package . Otherwise it will depend on your academics.
