The CAT 2025 admit card has been released on November 12, 2025, and can be downloaded from the official website – iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can access their admit card till November 30, 2025. The CAT 2025 admit card has been released, and all candidates are required to download but there are chances that they might face problems in downloading. Each issue will have a specific fix. Take a look at some of the common CAT admit card download problems that candidates might face.
The CAT admit card is available now, but you are unable to log in to the CAT 2025 portal due to a forgotten password or user ID, you can follow the steps given below:
Visit the official CAT 2025 website, iimcat.ac.in
Click on ‘Candidate Login’
Next, you will need to click on ‘Forgot User ID/Password’
After which, you will be required to enter your registered email ID and mobile number.
You will soon receive your credentials or will get a reset link at your registered email.
Tip: When receiving an email, you must always check your spam/junk folder for the recovery email. If you still don’t receive it within 15-20 mins, contact the CAT helpdesk with your registration details.
This is one of the most common issues that candidates face at the time of downloading the CAT admit card on the release day, when lakhs of candidates are trying to access the portal simultaneously. Here are some of the possible reasons why you might be facing this issue:
High server load due to heavy traffic
Browser cache or extension conflicts
Logging in with an old registration ID
Slow internet connection
Solutions:
Open the IIM CAT website in Incognito/Private Mode
Use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
Clear cache and cookies, then log in again.
Try accessing the portal at off-peak hours.
Lastly, try using a different device or a different network connection.
Upon the release of the CAT 2025 admit card, some candidates report that their photograph is missing, pixelated or cropped. Some of the main reasons behind this could be, the candidate might have uploaded the wrong file format or size during upload, or there could have been some technical glitch during PDF generation.
To solve this issue, one must immediately email the CAT help desk with their registration number, the correct photo (used during registration) and a scanned copy of their photo ID proof.
If your CAT admit card has incorrect details, such as a misspelt name or wrong category, you must act immediately. To do so, you must send an email to the CAT helpdesk with your registration number, a screenshot of the error and scanned proof (Aadhar, PAN or certificate).
Make sure to request for a written acknowledgement from the helpdesk confirming the correction or acceptance of your details.

The following are the guidelines that candidates must follow on the day of the CAT exam.
Original photo ID: On the day of the CAT 2025 exam, all candidates will be required to carry an original photo ID, including Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence. Ensure that the name on the photo ID matches that on the CAT admit card.
Additional CAT Admit Card Copies: Candidates must carry atleast two copies of the CAT admit cards with them along with the photo of passport-size photographs (the photo must be the same as the original as posted during the registration process).
PwD Applicants: Candidates must bring the disability certificate with them and the scribe affidavit (where necessary).
Prohibited Items: Some of the prohibited items include electronic equipment, baggage, wallets, jewellery, watches and any other study materials or texts.
