The MBA CET question papers 2025 for each shift will be different from each other. To overcome such a situation, the MAH MBA CET exam normalisation method will be used to ensure that candidates are not benefited or disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the MBA CET exam. Check here, how MAH MBA CET 2025 score will be normalised, formula for MBA CET normalisation, etc.
The MAH MBA CET exam will be conducted in multiple sessions to accommodate each candidate registered for the CET exam. However, the MBA CET question paper for different sessions was not same.
As different CET MBA papers have different difficulties, normalisation in MAH MBA CET 2025 is used to ensure that students are evaluated using the same standards and scale. The MAH MBA CET 2025 Normalisation process is followed like any other management entrance exam, which is conducted in multiple sessions.
Candidates who qualify for the exam should know all about the MAH CET normalisation process to understand how they are evaluated and how their final marks are calculated.

The MAH MBA CET normalisation process, though easy to understand, is a sophisticated procedure used by the Maharashtra State CET Cell to maintain parity among candidates in all sessions of the examination.
There are several major components of this MAH MBA CET 2025 normalisation process that students must know to understand the entire method properly. The most important components of the MBA CET normalisation process are as follows:
Take a look at the in-depth information on each component above.
One of the most important things students need to understand about the MAH MBA CET exam is the marking scheme. Without knowing the MAH MBA CET marking scheme properly, students cannot understand how their performance is evaluated in the exam.
The MBA CET raw score refers to the overall score obtained by the students in the MBA CET 2025 exam, calculated by determining each section using the marking scheme and adding up the marks of all four sections.
Preliminary calculation of the raw scores of candidates is the primary step for determining MAH MBA CET final results.
Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all the test takers. Basically, the marks obtained are converted into a scale of 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
The Maharashtra MBA CET 2025 percentile indicates the percentage of students that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW that particular percentile in that CET examination. So the topper (highest score) in each session gets the coveted 100 percent. The marks obtained between the highest and lowest marks are also converted into appropriate percentiles.
Predict you percentile here → MAH CET Percentile Predictor 2025
MAH MBA CET percentile scores are calculated to 7 decimal places to avoid clustering effects and minimise correlations. The MBA CET percentile score of a student is calculated as follows:
100 x (No. of candidates in a session with raw score ≤ the candidate’s score) / Total number of candidates in the session |
NOTE: The percentage of aggregate should NOT be the total or average of individual subject percentiles. A percentile score is not equal to the percentage of marks obtained.
Example: Suppose a MAH CET was held in 4 sessions of examinees, as per the details given below:
Session | Day/ Batch | No. of Candidates | Marks
Absent | Present | Total | Highest | Lowest
Session 1 | D1 B1 | 150 | 2249 | 2399 | 154 | 1 |
Session 2 | D1 B2 | 186 | 2272 | 2458 | 157 | 0 |
Session 3 | D2 B1 | 215 | 2216 | 2431 | 149 | 0 |
Session 4 | D2 B2 | 166 | 2257 | 2423 | 161 | 0 |
In this scoring mode, 100 percent of the maximum RAW SCORE in each paper (irrespective of raw marks) would mean that 100% of the candidates scored equal to or less than the highest scorer/toppers in that session.
Session | Total Test Takers | Highest Raw Score | Candidates Scored EQUAL OR LESS THAN Highest Raw Score | Percentile Score |
1 | 2249 | 154 | 2249 | 100.0000000 [(2249/2249)*100] |
2 | 2272 | 157 | 2272 | 100.0000000 [(2272/2272)*100] |
3 | 2216 | 149 | 2216 | 100.0000000 [(2216/2216)*100] |
4 | 2257 | 161 | 2257 | 100.0000000 [(2257/2257)*100] |
The CET percentile scores for the total raw score for all the sessions of MAH MBA CET 2025, as calculated, will be merged and shall be called the CET scores to be used for the compilation of the results.
The percentile of all sessions will be calculated separately for the overall score and the sectional score. This will help the MAH MBA CET CAP 2025 participating institute adjust the admission cutoffs.
