Candidates appearing for the XAT exam may note that the XAT application fee has increased to Rs 2,200 plus Rs 200 for every additional programme chosen. The XAT registration fee can be paid through credit or debit card/ net banking. XAT application fee 2027 is the same for all candidates, including reserved candidates (SC/ST/PwD).

XAT 2027 Application Process: In Details

Candidates can refer to the following steps while registering or filling out the application form for XAT 2027.

Step 1 - Visit the official website of XLRI Jamshedpur, i.e., www.xatonline.in

To fill out the registration form for XAT 2027, candidates are required to visit the official website and register for XAT 2027 to create login credentials.

Step 2 - Now click on new candidate login for a new login, and those who have already registered need to click on the “registered login” tab

On the home page of the official website, candidates can see two options-

• Option 1 - New candidate registration
• Option 2 - Registered candidate login

Those who are going to appear for the first time for the XAT exam should select option 1, and those who have already registered at the XAT portal can select option 2 to fill out the XAT 2027 registration form. Those who are not registered will have to create a User ID and Password. To create credentials, candidates need to enter the following details:

• Candidates name
• Email address
• Enter mobile number
• Set Password
• Select State
• Select city

• Captcha code

Now enter the security code, click on the “I agree” tab, and proceed with the “Submit” button.

After successful submission, the screen will display XAT 2027 registration details.

Step 3 - To continue further, click on the “Go to XAT application form” tab

• At the time of online XAT registration 2027, candidates can select six XAT exam cities for allotment of the XAT exam centre this year.
• On successful XAT application fee payment, an e-receipt will be displayed on the computer screen. Non-generation of "E-receipt" indicates the payment failure
• On failure of the XAT application fee payment, candidates are advised to re-login by using the same email ID and password, and repeat the XAT application fee payment process
• Take a printout of the XAT application fee receipt. The same cannot be generated afterwards

Contact details - Candidates will have to enter their residential address in Line 1, Line 2, and Line 3; candidates will have to enter a Country name, District, State/ Union territory, Town/ city name, and Pincode to be submitted while filling the application form of XAT 2027.

Current address - Details regarding the current address must be entered in the provided field at the time of XAT form filling.

Emergency contact detail- along with a personal contact number, candidates will have to provide an emergency contact number by the last date of the XLRI form.

Provide academic qualifications details -

Candidates will have to enter past academic qualification details.

• SSC/ 10th standard or equivalent board name - Marks obtained, total marks, board name, aggregate marks, month/ year of completion
• HSC/ 12th standard/ equivalent/ diploma course details - Marks obtained, course type, total marks, aggregate marks
• Bachelor’s degree details
• Master’s degree (if any)

Other professional degree details

Candidates who have a professional degree such as CA/ CS/ ICWA without a graduation degree are required to submit the details by the XLRI last date to apply in 2027.

Step 5 - Enter work experience details

Those who have work experience can provide it in the relevant field (Not mandatory).

• Candidates must enter their work experience by March 31, 2027
• The candidate must be a full-time employee
• No part-time job experience will be entertained
• Candidates must do their job after graduation

Step 6 - Enter programme details

Now candidates will have to enter the programme details that they opt to pursue. Candidates can choose any of the following courses.

• Business Management
• Human Resource Management

• Fellow Programme in Management

For the General Management Programme (One should have a minimum experience of 56 months)

After programme selection, candidates will have to fill in their preference for the campus for each programme.

While filling out the application form for XAT 2027, candidates need to choose a test-city preference where they wish to appear for the entrance exam. As per the latest update from XAT authorities, candidates can select six cities as their preferences.

Upload documents: Candidates will have to upload relevant documents for verification purposes. While filling out the XAT 2027 application form, candidates will have to upload the requisite documents

• Passport-size photograph should be recent, and make sure that the photograph background is white. The face, head, and shoulders must be visible in the photograph
• Passport-size photograph should not be older than 6 months

• Candidate's photographs and signatures must be uploaded in the XAT application form in the prescribed size and format

After uploading the photograph and signature, click on the “Save and Continue” button and move to the next page

Step 7 - Pay the XAT 2027 application fee

After filling out the entire XAT application form, candidates are required to pay the application fee for XAT 2027. Candidates are required to pay Rs 2200 by using the following method:

• XAT Registration Fee (without late fee)- Rs 2200/-
• Those candidates who are interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs 200/- each.

Step 8 - Download the payment receipt

After paying the XAT 2027 application fee, the computer screen will display the candidates' details. Candidates will have to download the XAT application details, which will be available in PDF format. The same will be intimated through a confirmation test on their email ID and registered mobile number.

What is the eligibility for XAT 2027 registration?

• Applicants must have a three-year bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Students appearing for their final examinations in the second week of June 2027 can also apply. However, they must have proof of their passing by the time admissions commence.
