These scores are considered in the MBA admission process, especially by top institutes like the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). However, there are some top MBA institutes that offer admission to low marks in class 10th and 12th. These institutes take a holistic approach in evaluating candidates on various parameters like work experience, entrance exam scores and personal interviews.

Once you are eligible to apply to IIMs across the country based on your CAT percentile, your application will undergo a shortlisting process. Top MBA colleges such as JBIMS and IBS do not give specific preference to 10th and 12th percentage. But still, having a good 10th and 12th percentage surely increases the probability of getting shortlisted in PI and final rounds.
