MAT 2022 Internet-Based-Test (MAT IBT)
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other postgraduate management programs in over 600 B-Schools across India. MAT 2022 IBT mode - Common FAQs
Here are some of the frequently asked questions (MAT IBT FAQs) related to the internet-based test of MAT 2022.
Question 1 - What is the MAT 2022 IBT mode exam all about?
Answer - MAT 2022 IBT mode exam is an Internet-Based Test. The candidates can appear for the exam from their home or even from a remote location with the help of good internet connectivity. The candidates will not have to physically appear at the examination centre in order to take the test and they will be proctored and invigilated by the proctoring authorities through their live video and audio feed. During the exam, the candidates will have to keep the camera and microphone of their system on.
Question- What about the screen specification for the MAT IBT mode exam?
Answer- For taking MAT 2022 IBT mode exam, candidates are required to have a computer or laptop with a properly functioning Webcam, Microphone, and Windows 7 and above version of Operating System. Fulfilling the above-mentioned conditions of the IBT mode exam would help the candidates to take the test smoothly.
Question- What things should one keep in mind before appearing for the MAT IBT mode exam?
Answer- Before going to appear for MAT 2022 IBT mode exam the candidates are required to necessarily keep in mind the following things:
Make sure you have read the complete manual of the MAT exam thoroughly.
Compulsorily check the demo video in order to have a better understanding of the MAT examination process.
Candidates must download and install MSB on the laptop or computer through which they are going to appear for the test.
Question- What is MSB? Why do I need to download it for the MAT 2022 IBT mode exam?
Answer- MSB is nothing but a security feature that ensures test takers are not involved in any kind of unfair practices on the test day. To run software like MSB hassle-free, windows OS Version 7 or above is the ideal OS that is recommended since MSB cannot work smoothly in devices having older versions of OS.
Question- What kind of internet connectivity is required for the MAT IBT mode exam?
Answer- The internet bandwidth required for the MAT IBT mode exam is 512 kbps. The candidates having less than the above-mentioned bandwidth might face some technical glitches during the test. Therefore, it is advised to have good internet connectivity during the test.
Question- Is there any compulsory dress code for the candidates to take the MAT 2022 IBT mode exam?
Answer- Absolutely yes. The difference between the MAT IBT mode exam and other MAT exams is just the location of the exam, the rest of the decorum, Rules & Regulations will remain the same as followed in other MAT exams. Therefore, like MAT CBT and PBT, there will be a dress code for MAT IBT as well.
Question- Do I need to produce any valid photo identity proof to appear for the MAT IBT mode exam?
Answer- To take the MAT IBT mode exam, the candidates must produce their original photo ID proof along with the MAT Admit Card on the test day. Candidates will also have to submit the live image of the document and have to get it duly authorized by the examination invigilator. This process will be done before the MAT IBT mode exam.
Question- Is it mandatory to have a computer system? Can I take the MAT IBT test through a mobile phone or tablet?
Answer- Yes, it is mandatory to have a computer system either desktop or laptop with a working microphone and webcam to take the MAT IBT test. It would not be possible to take the MAT IBT test through phone or tablet.
Question- Will I be allowed to use my mobile phone during the MAT IBT test?
Answer- No, while taking the AIMA MAT IBT test, candidates will not be allowed to use any headphones/ mobile phone/ smartwatch/ earbud/ Bluetooth device, etc.
Question- Will bio-break (toilet break) be allowed during the test?
Answer- Yes, bio-break would be allowed for the short duration of 2 to 3 minutes only. Candidates will have to inform the proctor through the chat window which will be available at the right bottom of the test page screen and will have to take permission before leaving the seat. Otherwise, it will be treated as a violation. Moreover, candidates are advised not to see bio-breaks more than once or twice during the test.
Question- How do I start the test, if I am getting “Video Streaming Error”?
Answer- If a “Video Streaming Error” occurs on the computer screen, then kindly follow the steps to resolve this issue.
Disable the antivirus/ firewall (if any) on your computer.
Must ensure that you are using a network where website restrictions may not be enabled.
If “Video Streaming Error” still persists, then connect your system to a different internet connection.
Question- What should I do if I get disconnected while attempting the MAT IBT test due to power failure or internet disconnect?
Answer- The MAT IBT test runs on autosave mode. Candidates can resume the MAT IBT test by following the same steps as did initially and from the same question number where they got disconnected.
Question- I am unable to start the test, getting the message “This test has been deactivated”. What should I do?
Answer- This message is displayed when the participation time window of the test has been closed. In order to avoid this issue, candidates must ensure that they log in on time to take the MAT IBT test as per booked slot.
Question- I am unable to start the test, getting the message “Connection with chat server failed”. What should I do?
Answer- This message is displayed when there is restriction enabled on the System/ Network being used.

Kindly disable the firewall & antivirus (if any)
Candidates can also try to switch to a different internet connection
Try changing the computer or laptop if the issue persists
If you are using an Office System/ Network
Kindly connect with the IT team of the organization
Question- I am unable to start the test as I am getting the message “We have detected multiple screens”. How to proceed from here?
Answer- This message will display when multiple screens are connected with the computer system or duplicate screen or extended to the external computer screen while attempting the AIMA MAT IBT test.
If any external screen or video cables such as DVI/ VGA card/ HDMI etc. are connected with the computer system, then remove the same.
Press and hold the Window key and press “P” and then select “PC screen only”
Any application such as TeamViewer, Skype, etc must be terminated.

MAT IBT Mode Admit Card 2022
All India Management Association (AIMA) will release the admit card of MAT IBT 2022 in online mode. Candidates can download the MAT IBT mode admit card from the official website. In order to download MAT admit cards, candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number of date of birth.
MAT IBT Exam Pattern 2022

MAT IBT exam preparation- Tips to prepare
MAT IBT exam preparation requires smart work as well as a bit of hard work. MAT IBT is a speed-based test in which candidates have to solve a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. This means candidates need to take care of speed and accuracy while preparing for the MAT IBT exam. Check some key insights on section-wise MAT preparation.
MAT IBT preparation for Language Comprehension section - Questions asked in this section of the MAT syllabus consists of all the topics of Verbal Ability and English Grammar. Candidates need to sit in a good lit room to ensure that they are being proctored by the invigilator properly.
Choose a quiet place to appear for the exam since a noisy environment can lead you to lose concentration during the test. One’s home is the best location to take an exam through IBT mode.
Follow the dress code given to appear for MAT IBT exam mode and maintain the decorum while appearing for the exam.
Keep a government-approved ID and original document of yours with yourself.
Make sure you submit a live image of the document with the help of your system’s webcam.
Keep rough sheets along with a pen with you for the purpose of calculation during the test. Keep in mind that the proctoring authority can time ask you to show your rough sheet to them during the test.

MAT IBT Cutoff 2022
There are more than 600 B-Schools that accept MAT IBT scorecards. After the declaration of the MAT result, every participating institute will release its MAT IBT cutoff to shortlist candidates for further selection rounds.
