CAT 2017 Analysis

According to the experts’ analysis of CAT 2017, it was a moderate level test with tough Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning section and easy Quantitative Ability section. The Verbal and Reading Comprehension section was of easy to moderate level. Owing to the level of difficulty, the CAT 2017 cutoff is expected to be higher than that of last year. Overall, the CAT exam pattern remained same as last year with three-hour duration consisting of 100 questions carrying three marks each and negative marking of one-third mark for each wrong answer.

IIM Lucknow, the conducting body of CAT 2017 did not announce earlier about the plan the release CAT question paper 2017. CAT candidates were notified about the release of CAT 2017 question paper and answer key through SMS. Hence, it came as a surprise to the test takers to check the CAT answer keys and calculate the estimated score and gauge the percentile to expect.  The CAT 2017 result is expected to be declared in the second week of January 2018.
