CAT 2015 Participating Institutes – CAT or the Common Admission Test is the biggest MBA entrance exam which is targeted by around 2 lakh MBA aspirants every year. CAT 2015 has been conducted by IIM Ahmedabad in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The total number of 19 IIMs and around 100 B-schools are included in CAT 2015 Participating Institutes. As on November 19, the official website of CAT 2015 has enlisted total of 108 non IIMs B-schools across states. It is likely that the number of non-IIM B-schools will increase. CAT 2015 has been held on Sunday, November 29, 2015. The application process window was open from Thursday, August 6, 2015 to Friday, September 25, 2015. The total number of applications received was 2,18,664, which is the highest in the past 5 years. The actual number of test takers was 1,79,602. During application process, candidates had to select the IIMs and programmes as well. The CAT 2015 result has been declared on Friday, January 8, 2016.

Conducted by IIMs, the CAT 2015 Participating Institutes include all the 19 IIMs. Apart from that, the institutes can be divided into the following categories:
National Institutes – This category includes the management faculties or departments of national level institutes such as Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), FMS Delhi University etc. There are 15 CAT 2015 Participating Institutes in this category.
Private B-schools – This includes around 85 institutes across India. Some of the top names include MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad etc.
Last year, 118 B-schools across India participated for CAT 2014 apart from the 19 IIMs.

Hello there. Hope you are doing good. The cutoff for XIMB goes around 90 percentile every year. It could be high or low depending on the cutoff scores that varies every year. Since your score is near to 90 percentile and if you have a work experience that is worth considering for admission into MBA program. Then you can at least give it a try. You never know what will be the exact situation in the upcoming admission processes.
So, my suggest for you is to definitely give it a try.

However, based on previous years cutoffs, it is expected that the Cat and XAT cutoff for OBC NCL candidates will be somewhere around 70 percentile. For your reference, I am sharing a link with you which consists of all the necessary information of the exam along with the expected cutoff.

It has good curriculum along with many placement opportunities. But if you are looking for a general MBA program, then IMI could be a better option for you. IMI is considered to be one of the top business schools in West Bengal. Comparing the placement records and the the companies visiting the campus, IMI can be a better option for you.
