Admissions Open | Globally Recognized by AACSB (US) & AMBA (UK) | 17.3 LPA Avg. CTC for PGPM 2024
In recent times, both MHT CET MBA 2025 and JBIMS have faced backlashes regarding the scams regarding some specific exam centres, Rs. 20 lakh bribe allegations, as well as presuppositions about the MAH MBA CET 2025 result discrepancies on social media platforms like Reddit and X. Earlier this year, police apprehended 4 people for their involvement in the scams related to the MAH CET 2025 where in pretext of helping students during MBA CET registration 2025, students were asked to select one specific exam centre. Moreover, the accused planned to convince students to get them good marks in return of Rs 15-20 lakhs. This not only fanned the flames regarding the suppositions around discrepancies of MAH MBA CET among students in the public discussion forum like Reddit, but at the same time, questioned the credibility of the MHT CET MBA 2025.
MAH CET is regarded as one of the prestigious state-level management examinations and has become the centre of the storm in recent times for several controversial issues. In March 2025, while the MAH CET 2025 registration was going on, four people were arrested in Delhi for their involvement in fraudulent activities regarding the MHT CET MBA exam 2025.
According to the officials, the accused operated a website called collegeinside.org to assist the students who are facing difficulties in applying for the MAH MBA CET. However, in the pretext of that, these accused convinced the students to select some specific examination centres so that they could use Ultraviewer software to gain remote access to the computers to tamper with the examination. The accused further stated that they have tried to do the same case of a renowned technological university in Tamil Nadu in exchange for Rs 15-20 Lakhs from each student.
One X (formerly Twitter) user posted the screenshots of MHT CET MBA 2025 result and questioned the credibility of the merit list of the MAH CET MBA, by pointing out how some candidates who have a lower score in their academics throughout their careers can gain a higher score in the management entrance examination accepted in MHT CET MBA CAP 2025 to become the one of the MAH CET CAP topper 2025. He was pointing out that one can score good marks in the management qualifying examination, but he believes that the scores are too good to be true.
One Reddit user, named Familliar_Simple9865, posted that they know somebody who has boosted about gaining 100 percentile by paying money and got into JBIMS.
However, on the other side, Reddit and X users came in support of the MBA CET 2025, saying that all these suppositions regarding MHT CET and JBIMS are nothing more than a conspiracy theory, and people should approach the police if they have concrete evidence rather than ranting on social media sites.
Apart from the questions about the credibility of the MAH CET MBA, Reddit users started to raise doubts about how fair the JBIMS admission process is. Known as the ‘CEO factory’, JBIMS MAH CET Cutoff 2025JBIMS MAH CET Cutoff 2025 was the highest with 99.99 percentile for the All India candidates this year as well. However, in several Reddit posts, users pointed out the possible scam rackets that are going on regarding JBIMS.
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) does not have any management quota for its MMS course. Despite that fact, one of the posts, ‘rosefin110’ pointed out that someone connected them to offer help in getting admitted to JBIMS through the management quota. The said person is supposed to be running a consultancy firm in Pune.
One Reddit user, ‘Aryan_299’ said that he has been contacted by a person who asked him to only appear for the MHT CET MBA from a centre in Nagpur, assuring him about getting 99.9 percentile and a seat at JBIMS.
In the discussion, users rightly pointed out that these might be scams, and JBIMS doesn't admit management applicants through the management quota. This didn't bar others (sarcastically/ or maybe not) from questioning the JBIMS admission process through MAH CET CAP, arguing that one can get into a top management college like JBIMS by using unfair means.
Like earlier, some of the social media users hushed up the ‘theories’ by saying that those who have kind of proper information should visit the police, rather than talking about that on social media. A user named ‘Much_discussion 1490’ asked the users to become responsible citizens by providing information to MAH CET and the law enforcement authorities. ‘Enitre_Ad_4846’ also argued on similar lines by proposing, rather than ranting on the Reddit people, that they should approach the police.
Another point of argument is that this ‘hate’ which fills these popular conspiracy theory of rigged JBIMS selection process is because of the higher cutoff, less importance to academic marks and the smaller number of seats for the All India candidates the All India candidates. Out of the 120 JBIMS seats for their MMS courses, only 18 are allotted for the All India category students.
With a 91.16 percentile in MAH MBA CET 2025, you have a good chance of securing admission in decent MBA colleges in Maharashtra. While top institutes like JBIMS or Sydenham may be out of reach, colleges such as PUMBA, SIES, Chetana’s, MET, and DY Patil are realistic options. Among these, PUMBA offers the best return on investment with a low fee structure and an average package of around 6–6.5 LPA. Other colleges typically offer packages in the 3.5–5.5 LPA range. Since you plan to take a loan, choosing a college with low fees and strong placement support is important. Make sure to register and participate in all CAP rounds and prioritize your college options carefully. With the right choice and consistent effort during your MBA, placements are definitely possible.
With 91.16 percentile, you can target top-tier MBA colleges like PUMBA (Pune University), MET Mumbai, SIESCOMS Navi Mumbai, and NL Dalmia. Welingkar and K J Somaiya may be slightly out of reach but possible under lower cutoffs or spot round.
With 42 percentile in MAH MBA CET, it is very difficult to get admission in good or top MBA colleges through CAP rounds. Most of the well-known colleges in Maharashtra like JBIMS, SIMSREE, Welingkar, and PUMBA usually take students who score more than 90 or 99 percentile. Even average colleges ask for at least 60 to 70 percentile.
With 42 percentile, you may get a seat in a very low-tier or less popular private college, but the chances are low in government or semi-government colleges. You should still attend the CAP rounds and fill as many options as possible. Also, use a college predictor tool to check which colleges you might get based on your percentile.
Dear Aspirant,
If you have scored 80 out of 200 in the MAH MBA CET 2025, your expected percentile is likely to be in the range of 60 to 70, depending on the overall performance of candidates and the difficulty level of the exam this year. Based on previous years’ trends, a score of around 120+ usually corresponds to a 95+ percentile, while scores between 100 and 110 typically fall in the 85 to 90 percentile range. Therefore, with 80 marks, you may not qualify for top colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, or PUMBA, but you can still explore admission opportunities in mid-level management institutes in Maharashtra. Some of the colleges you could consider include SIES College of Management Studies, Indira Institute of Management Pune, MET Mumbai, Chetana’s Institute of Management and Research, and IES Management College. Your chances may also vary based on your category and whether you are applying under the Home University (HU), Other University (OHU), or All India (AI) quota.
Congratulations on your score! To estimate your percentile for the MAH MBA CET 2025, it depends on the overall difficulty of the exam, the number of students appearing, and how others perform in the exam.
However, based on trends from previous years, here is a rough estimate:
94 marks in the MAH MBA CET typically corresponds to a percentile range of approximately 95-98 percentile , assuming the exam's difficulty level is consistent with previous years.
The exact percentile can vary depending on the specific performance of all candidates in your slot and the total number of candidates. It is always better to wait for the official result release to get an accurate percentile.
