One year is sufficient to prepare for KMAT Kerala 2027 if an aspirant studies strategically and sticks to the right preparation plan.
Make a list of important chapters based on their difficulty level and weightage. Important chapters include percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, time and work, and data interpretation. One should practice reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary on a daily basis to improve their English.
The important topics from logical reasoning are seating arrangement, puzzles, syllogism, etc. One should also try to learn and revise the past 6 months’ current affairs and important static GK.
Instead of randomly studying different topics, it would help if one set targets for each week for better results. For instance, for the first two weeks, one can devote time to learning the important concepts and formulae. In the third week, one can start taking sectional tests and previous years’ question papers. In the last week, one should revise important concepts, grammar rules, current affairs, and the mistakes made while taking mock tests and previous year’s question papers.
One should start taking mock tests after finishing the important topics and concepts. One should take at least two to three mock tests every week for the next two weeks. While giving the mock test, one should follow the right strategy and time management to know where they lack and which sections need improvement. One should also give the complete three-hour test in one go to get used to the time constraints.
As KMAT follows a negative marking system, it would help if one did not guess the answer. Instead, one should leave the questions that they are not sure about and focus on attempting the ones they know. One should also work on improving their accuracy to get a higher score.
Sticking to revisions in the last week before the exam would help an aspirant retain all the important topics, formulas, current affairs, and grammatical rules. One should revise all the short notes, important topics, and formulas. One can also revise the logical reasoning shortcuts and tricks to solve questions faster. One should also go through the mistakes made in the mock tests and previous year’s papers to avoid them in the actual exam.
