About KMAT Kerala 2019

Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT) is conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). KMAT Kerala 2019 was conducted on February 17, 2019, in offline mode (pencil-paper based). As per the eligibility criteria of the exam, candidates with minimum 50 percent in aggregate in graduation can apply for KMAT Kerala 2019. To register for the exam, candidates need to visit the official website of the University. The application process for KMAT Kerala 2019  started from November 2, 2018, and continued until January 31, 2019. The University will conduct the Kerala KMAT 2019 exam for admissions to MBA/PGDM programmes in various University affiliated colleges.

KMAT Kerala 2019 Eligibility Criteria

As per the eligibility criteria of KMAT Kerala 2019, candidates need to fulfil the following parameters in order to be eligible to apply for the exam - 

  • At least 50 per cent marks in aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ST candidates) in graduation (minimum 3 years) from a recognised board/university/education body are eligible to apply. Or
  • Master’s degree with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate (45 percent for SC/ST candidates) from any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent are eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply.

The application form of KMAT Kerala 2019 was released on November 2, 2018, 5:00 PM. The application process is online and the last date to fill the form was January 31, 2019 (5:00 PM). 

KMAT Kerala Application Fee - The application fee for For General category candidates is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 750 for SC/ST category candidates.

How to fill KMAT Kerala 2019 Application Form?

Candidates need to follow the below-given steps in order to apply for KMAT 2019 exam:

  • Visit the official website 
  • Fill in your personal details and submit
  • After submission, you will get a unique KMAT Kerala application number along with the password (Date of Birth)
  • Now, visit the official website again and login with your application number and password.
  • Fill in all the details asked and pay the application fee.
  • Upload the scanned image of your photograph and signature.
  • Choose exam centres. You can select up to 3 exam centres. 
  • A profile verification window will pop up on the screen. You are advised to check all the details and take the printout.

KMAT Kerala 2019 Exam Pattern

KMAT Kerala 2019 is an offline (paper-pencil based) exam. As per the exam pattern of KMAT Kerala 2019, the exam had a total of 180 questions divided into four sections. Each section had a certain number of questions. The duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours (150 mins). Here is the complete KMAT Kerala 2019 exam pattern.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The total marks of the exam are 720.

KMAT Kerala 2019 Admit Card

The University released the KMAT Kerala 2019 admit card on February 5, 2019. The admit card of KMAT Kerala 2019 is available only in online mode. Eligible candidates who apply for the exam online by paying the application fee will be able to download the admit card. Candidates won’t be allowed to appear for the exam without the admit card.

To download the KMAT Kerala Admit Card 2019, candidates need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Visit the official website   
  • Login through KMAT 2019 Application Number and Password provided at the time of exam registration
  • Click on the tab ‘Login’
  • Click on the ‘Admit Card’ tab
  • Admit card of KMAT Kerala 2019 will appear on the screen
  • Download the KMAT Kerala admit card and take printouts 
  • Keep a soft copy for future use

KMAT Kerala 2019 Answer Key

The answer key of KMAT Kerala 2019 was released by the University on February 18, 2019 on the official website. Through the answer key, candidates who appear for the exam could check the correct answers of all the 180 questions. The answer key of KMAT Kerala 2019 allows the candidates to calculate their estimated score. Candidates can actually check whether they are qualifying the exam or not as the University has prescribed the cutoff marks for different categories. 

Candidates could also file objections in case they find any discrepancy in the KMAT Kerala 2019 answer key.

The result of KMAT Kerala 2019 has been announced on February 26, 2019. The result is available only online in the form of merit list. Candidates can simply visit the official website of KMAT Kerala 2019 to check and download their scorecards/result.

  • Click on the 'Result' link and check your name in the PDF through Ctrl+F and entering your name

  •    Candidates may also login with their login credentials - user id and password (date of birth)   

  •    KMAT Kerala 2019 result will appear on the screen   

  •    Download the result and keep a soft copy as well

Candidates are also advised to keep a copy of the scorecard until the entire admission process gets over.

KMAT Kerala 2019 Cutoff

The KMAT Kerala 2019 cutoff marks are the minimum cutoff marks that are required to qualify the exam. The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), the conducting body of the exam, has already prescribed the cutoff marks for all categories. General category candidates need to score minimum 107 marks.

KMAT Kerala 2019 Selection Process

After the announcement of the result, the selection process of KMAT Kerala 2019 will start. The selection rounds which may include Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be conducted for the candidates who qualify the exam.

The University will prepare a final merit list based on the performance of the candidates in all the three rounds - KMAT Kerala 2019 score, GD and PI. The University will conduct the counselling sessions to allot the seats to the selected candidates in the college of their preference.
