IIM Lucknow has announced the admission criteria for the PGP, PGP-Agri Business Management (PGP ABM) and PGP-SM programmes for the academic year 2015-17. The admission of the candidates is based on 2 stages, shortlist and final selection process. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of IIM Lucknow CAT 2014 cutoff, past academic record, work experience and diversity factor. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The final selection is based on the cumulative score.

Compared to last year’s admission criteria, there has not been much change in the admission criteria. The cutoff and weights assigned are similar to that of 2014-16. A new programme, PGP-SM will be introduced from the academic year 2015-17, however, no information on the programme was available in the official website of IIM Lucknow.

Shortlist Criteria - CAT 2014 Cutoff
The following table will give you the CAT 2014 cutoff for the PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-SM programmes.

The shortlist of candidates for WAT, GD and PI rounds will be made of the basis of the scores obtained using the weights assigned in the various parameters mentioned in the table below.

(Indicate only paid and full time work experience, acquired after completing the Bachelor’s Degree, Apprenticeship, Articleship, Internship etc. which form an integral part of course of study, should not be treated as work experience)

The following weights will be assigned to the various components during the GD, PI and WAT rounds.

The minimum requirement for getting a pass in Personal Interviews is 9 out of 30 marks.
Final Admission Offer
The final merit list will be made on the basis of the following formula
Grand Total (C) = Shortlist Total (A) + GDPI Total (B)
The Grand Total (C) will be used to rank the candidates according to their merit.

Your academic career seems very good. You have done good in CAT. 80 - 83 Percentile range shows that you can definitely expect IIM.
Talking about IIMs, as you might have researched about the last few years' cutoff, the cutoff for OBC of all IIMs range from 80 Percentile and above.
As per the rankings of IIMs, the top five IIMs are-
1. IIM Bangalore
2. IIM Ahmedabad
3. IIM Lucknow
4. IIM Calcutta
5. IIM Tiruchirappalli
You should definitely give priority for the above five IIMs and try to get admission there. Considering last few years' cutoff, you should definitely get admission in any of the IIMs.
There are many colleges where you can get admission if you got 80-85 percentile in CAT.

Hello there. Hope you are doing good. The cutoff for XIMB goes around 90 percentile every year. It could be high or low depending on the cutoff scores that varies every year. Since your score is near to 90 percentile and if you have a work experience that is worth considering for admission into MBA program. Then you can at least give it a try. You never know what will be the exact situation in the upcoming admission processes.
So, my suggest for you is to definitely give it a try.
