The admit card date of CAT 2015 was postponed by 10 days from the original schedule of Thursday, October 15, 2015. The reason for the postpone was the extension of application deadline from September 20 to 25. This year, the CAT 2015 Admit Card is gender neutral, i.e. it does not mention the gender of the candidates. This year, there were 80 transgender candidates out of the total 2,18,664 registrations.

How to download CAT 2015 Admit Card?

 

 The candidates have to follow the given steps to download the CAT Admit Card 2015

  • Visit the CAT 2015 Official Website

  • Log-in with your CAT 2015 credentials

  • Click on the tab saying CAT 2015 Admit Card

  • Download the Admit Card and take a printout

Now let us come to the contents of the CAT 2015 Admit Card. The main and most important information that it will provide you is the test date, slot and center. The other information to include in the admit card is as follows

The CAT 2015 Admit Card is the most important document for appearing in the exam apart from the Photo Identity Card. The hard copy of the admit card was not sent to candidates, hence they had to take the print outs and preserve it carefully. Not only for the CAT 2015, the admit card is continue to be an important document till the entire admission process is over. Only the registered candidates were able to download the CAT 2015 Admit Card. Since last year, when CAT underwent massive changes in multiple aspects, the CAT Admit Card was not available instantly after the application is over, but had to be downloaded from the website on the scheduled date.


The application process started from Thursday, August 6 and ended on Friday, September 25, 2015. The application deadline was extended by 5 days from September 20, 2015. The total number of registrations received for CAT 2015 is  2,18,664. This was an 11% increase compared to last year and highest number in the past 5 years.

Official FAQs on CAT 2015 Admit Card

Q1. When will I get my Admit Card?

 

CAT 2015 Admit card availability date from Sunday, 25th October 2015, 1:00PM onwards. You will have to log onto the CAT website with your registered User ID. You will be eligible for an Admit Card of CAT 2015 only upon submission of online application form. You will receive an automated email confirmation upon successful submission.

 

Q2. What details will be mentioned in the CAT 2015 Admit Card?

 

The admit card of CAT 2015 will contain the following details:

  • Name of the candidate

  • Test date

  • Test City & Centre address

  • User ID / Registration Number

  • PWD/DA status

Q3. Will the CAT 2015 Admit Card be sent to me as a hard copy or by mail?

 

No. The admit card will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT 2015 User ID.

 

Note: CAT 2015 Admit Card is a mandatory document required to take the exam. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the exam centre.

CAT 2015 exam pattern had undergone major changes. The test had 3 sections instead of 2, Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VRC) and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR), having total 100 questions, 34 in QA and VRC and 32 in DI & LR. The total duration allowed was 3 hours, 1 hour for each section. Unlike last year, the sections were time bound and no switching of sections was allowed.

 

This year IIM Ahmedabad conducted CAT 2015. In the year 2009, when CAT became computer based, IIM Ahmedabad was the conducting body under the convenorship of Dr. Satish Deodhar. This year Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay is the Convenor.

 

CAT 2015 conducted for the admission in 19 IIMs and around 100 B-schools across India. Last year, the total number of applicants was 1,96,988 and the actual number of test takers was 1,67,830. The actual number of test takers in CAT 2015 was over 2 lakh.

You got good marks in CAT.You have a good chance to get call from IIM Nagpur if your academic score that is 10+2+3 is more than average.Also you can get many other good colleges other than IIM Nagpur.

I got 178 in CAT 2019 SLOT 2. QUANT-61, DI-45, VA-72. 10CGPA IN TENTH AND 94%IN PLUS-2. DONE BTECH MECHANICAL WITH MSC ECONOMICS FROM BITS. IS THERE ANY CHANCE OF IIM ABC.

First of all congratulations on your excellent score in CAT.You have very nice score and can surely expect a 99+ percentile.Your 10nth and 12th marks are also good and you a pretty decent profile.I am sure that you will get a from IIM Calcutta.

IIM Banglore gives a little preference to people with work experience but seeing your excellent CAT score you can get a call.

Overall your chance of getting a call from IIM ABC is very high.All the best.Prepare well for PI and WATs.

Hii,

Academic marks are Important and will play a crucial role in getting the Admission to pursue MBA/PGDM in IIM. But the main prerequisite is you should get more than 95 percentile in CAT exam to get Interview call from IIM's. After getting the Interview call from IIM, one should perform well in GD and Personal Interview inorder to get the admission. Your Academics are good, Try to get a good CAT Score.

CAT is a 3-hour computer-based test consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Non-MCQ type questions. There were three sections, namely Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR).

CAT Exam (Common Admission Test) is a computer-based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as a prerequisite for admissions to their business administration programs. Apart from the IIMs, the CAT is also a prerequisite for admissions into numerous other prestigious management colleges across India which includes institutes like S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Management Development Institute (Gurgaon), Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), International Management Institute (IMI), National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) and several others.

To be able to get eligible for CAT, candidates to fulfil the following criterion:

  • Should Hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
