Now, a comprehensive score (CS) will be calculated based on CP, PAP, WE and Di. The formula to calculate the score is as follows:

CS=0.35 * (CAT Total Score /Maximum CAT Total Score * 10) + 0.35*(PAP Score) + 0.2* (WE Score) + 0.1*(Di Score)

Based on CS score, candidates will be short-listed for the final selection round. These candidates will also receive an email from IIM Nagpur most probably in the first week of April 2018. The short-listed candidates would need to submit a detailed application including all the necessary documents within a given time frame. The list of documents is as follows:

  • Copies of all mark sheets

  • Copies of work experience certificates (if applicable)

  • Certificate of disability (if applicable), scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/other backward class — non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable)

Stage 3 – IIM Nagpur Admission Criteria 2019: Final Selection of the Candidates

The shortlisted candidates will go through Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) at this stage.

Those who are shortlisted and Interviewed by any one or more of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (only for their PGP/PGPEM programs), will not be required to appear for this process that will be conducted by IIMN. For these candidates, their PI and WAT scores from the above IIMs will be used to derive their PI /WAT scores for IIMN as follows:

  • If a candidate was shortlisted for PI/WAT of only one of the above mentioned IIMs (IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow for their PGP/PGPEM programs), her/his PI/WAT score will be used for PI/WAT score for IIMN.

  • If a candidate was selected for PI/WAT of more than one of the above mentioned IIMs (IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow for their PGP/PGPEM programs), the average of the scores will be considered after removing one score which is the minimum PI/WAT score in the above mentioned IIMs (IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow for their PGP/PGPEM programs).

Candidates who are not shortlisted and Interviewed by any of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow (only for their PGP/PGPEM programs) will be required to appear for a PI/WAT to be conducted by IIMN.

The scores in all past academics will also be updated, if required, on the basis of actual mark sheets/grade cards submitted. Unless otherwise mentioned in the academic transcripts, percentages would be calculated by considering all subjects that the candidate has appeared for the examination.

At this stage, the Final Score (FS) of the candidate will now be calculated as follows:

FS= 0.35* (PI Score) + 0.05*(WAT Score) + 0.20* (CP Score) + 0.20 * (PAP Score) + 0.20 * (WE Score)

The selection at this stage will strictly be based on the ranks of the candidates computed separately for each category (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/DAP) on the basis of their Final Scores (FS). The numbers selected in different categories will be in proportions mandated by the law.

The selected candidates will receive provisional admission intimation by e-mail. To confirm the acceptance of the offer, the candidate would need to pay an acceptance fee of Rs. 50,000 which will be adjusted towards Term I fees subsequently.

IIM Nagpur Admission Criteria 2019-21: Admission Withdrawal and Cancellation

The admission of a candidate will be cancelled in the following scenarios:

  • The admission of a candidate stands cancelled if he/she provides any false information at any step in the admissions process.

  • If the acceptance fee is not received by the stipulated date, the provisional admission will be cancelled.

  • If a candidate pays the confirmation fees but still wants to withdraw, he/she may do so by sending an e-mail to the Admission Office. We will then initiate a refund process.
