AP ICET 2026 Exam Strategy - AP ICET is a very important entrance exam to get admission in top MBA colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Students often get confused about how to actually strategise the exam, as there will be 200 questions to attempt in 150 minutes. So that will be less than 1 minute per question. Additionally, there will be some Quantitative aptitude and analytical ability questions that will require more than 2 minutes. It is a common question among aspirants about how they can overcome the AP ICET 2026 exam and rank at the top.

In this article, we will discuss the order of the sections to attempt in the exam, the maximum time to be invested in questions per section, and some avoidable common mistakes. Interested students can follow this article.
As we mentioned earlier, there will be a total of 150 minutes to complete 200 questions from three sections. There will be no section-wise time limit.
The following table will give students an estimation of how much time they should invest in each section to score high marks and achieve a top rank in the AP ICET 2026 Exam. It can be modified according to the students’ needs.

Always attempt easier questions first to secure easy marks.
Then deal with relatively moderate questions to build momentum and increase the overall score.
Skip the difficult questions initially and deal with them after completing the questions mentioned above.
Use elimination techniques and smart guesses to answer questions you find hard.

Ideally, a student should complete all the questions which they are confident of in the first 130 minutes of the AP ICET exam. The final 10 minutes serve different purposes. Here are things a student should do in the final 10 minutes of the AP ICET 2026 exam.
Try to attempt the remaining questions to maximise their scores.
Review all the questions you highlighted again, checking that they have all been correctly answered
Make sure that none of the questions is left unanswered.

There is no fixed rule to attempt any section first. Start with the section you are comfortable with. The Analytical Ability section has maximum weightage, but the Communication Ability seems easier to handle at first.
With accuracy, above 180 questions attempted can be considered very good in terms of results. It will also depend on the difficulty level of the AP ICET 2026 Question Paper.
In the initial phase of the AP ICET 2026 exam, skip the difficult questions to save time and build the momentum and required confidence to deal with them in the later phase.
The trick to improving speed during the exam is to attempt relatively easier questions first and handle the difficult ones later.
On the other hand, accuracy depends on your preparation and judgement during the exam.
As there is no negative marking for wrong answers, students can attempt all the questions in the AP ICET 2026 exam to maximise their scores.
