AIMA MAT IBT 2020: Guide for Online Assessments - MAT 2020 for November session is conducted by AIMA, as a Remotely Proctored Internet-Based Test. What is MAT 2020 IBT Mode?
As per the information brochure released by AIMA, IBT mode for MAT 2020 stands for Internet-Based Test. In IBT mode, candidates are required to have a working internet connection to take up the test. In MAT 2020 IBT mode, candidates was remotely invigilated through a live video and audio feed. Along with that the screen of the candidates will also be monitored by AIMA. To be specific, a remote proctored IBT is a secure online examination that can be taken by registered candidates from any convenient location be it home or other, at a preferred slot from the options available. Candidates do not need to travel to a specific test centre to give the test. In order to ensure fair delivery of MAT 2020, candidates was monitored live through their webcam and mic and the same will be recorded by AIMA in the form of snapshots and videos which will be reviewed post the exam.

Steps: Candidate Guide for Online Assessments
Below mentioned steps are to be followed by candidates to fill the MAT 2020 application form of IBT mode.
Step 1 - System Requirement for Assessment
In order to give the MAT 2020 in IBT mode candidates are required to ensure that they fulfil the system requirements. Given below table can be referred by candidates with regard to the requirements.

Step 2 - System Requirement for MSB
To take up MAT 2020 IBT mode, the operating system should be Windows OS (Version 7 and above). Note that MSB i.e. Mettl Secure Browser is not supported on any operating system other than Windows (Version 7 and above)
Dot NET framework - MSB browser requires the dot net framework. The minimum supported version for MAT 2020 is 4.5.1. .NET framework
Memory should be 65 MB permanent free space on the default hard drive
Once MAT 2020 starts, the MSB will not allow candidates to move out of the application before it is finished/completed
MSB will close all the applications running in background i.e. Browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and others will not be functional. Also applications like Skype etc. will also not work except MAT 2020 IBT mode exam
Step 3 - Click on Launch Test Button
Now candidates will be required to click on the Launch Test button. On clicking the button launch test, a new window will open.
Step 4 - Select the Appropriate Option
If candidates have not installed MSB, they need to click on “DOWNLOAD MSB”
If candidates have already installed MSB, they need to click on “PROCEED TO TEST” tab
Step 5 - How to Install MSB?
Once candidates click on download MSB, a window will open as shown in the picture below. Candidates will be required to click on “I agree” and then install. Once the installation is complete, the icon for MSB will be available on the system as mentioned here.
Step 6 - How to Start Test on MSB?
Once the test is launched, the candidates will get the screen as shown in the picture below, candidates need to click on the “Proceed to test” tab and on the next page click on the “Launch Test” tab to start the test in MSB browser.
Step 7 - Starting Test on MSB Browser
After clicking on the tab “Launch Test” a new pop-up will appear on the screen asking candidates to launch the test on the MSB browser. Candidates need to click on "Open MSB" to launch the test on MSB browser. On launching the MSB browser, a dialogue box will appear (as shown in below image) prompting to close any unrequired applications. In such a case, candidates must close all such applications mentioned on the dialogue box (shown in image) before starting the test. This can be done either by closing those applications or by clicking on the button “OK” to proceed.
Step 8 - Starting Test on MSB
Now candidates will be asked to give permission to share the camera and microphone. Once the permission is granted it will move to the next step as shown in the below picture. After checking the camera and microphone permission, MAT 2020 IBT mode can be started by clicking on the tab 'Next'.
Step 9 - Fill the details for Test
In this step of IMT mode of MAT 2020, candidates will be required to fill registration details which are given below and click on I agree to the terms and condition and click on “Next”.

Step 10 - Snapshot Submission Process
Here candidates need to provide a snapshot of their face and ID card. Please make sure while clicking the picture that there is enough lighting in the room so that the ID card is captured properly. Kindly click the picture in the outline provided. Candidates need to review the picture, once clicked. Also, once the snapshot of ID card and picture has been captured, candidates need to click on the Submit button as shown in the below picture.
Step 11 - Authorization Process
In this stage, candidates have to wait till the snapshots of photo and ID proof get authorized. The process will take around 2-3 minutes for the authorizer to verify one request. In case the details (Face/ID Card snapshot) submitted by candidates are not clear, they will be requested to resubmit the same details. Candidates should not panic in such situations. Click on the “Submit” button and re-submit the required details.
Step 12 - Notification for Monitored session will be intimated to candidates
Once the details submitted by candidates get authorized by AIMA, then on the next page the candidates will be able to see a pop-up stating that their test session will be monitored. Now the candidates will have to give their approval to start the test. Without approval, MAT 2020 IBT mode will not start. To start the test candidates need to click on “Proceed toTest” as shown in the picture below.
Step 13 - Post successful Authorization candidates will be able to start MAT 2020 IBT mode. The picture below can be referred by candidates to check the user interface and how the screen of IBT mode for MAT 2020 will appear. Candidates will have the options:

Step 14 - Test Experience
After completion of MAT 2020 IBT mode, candidates have to submit. He/ She can do so by clicking on the tab “Finish Test” provided at the top right corner of the screen. After clicking on ‘Finish Test’, candidates will be guided to a ‘Test Summary’ page whereby candidates can review all the details. They can either go back by clicking on ‘Cancel’ or proceed to “Submit” by clicking on ‘Yes, Finish Test’ as per their choice.
After clicking on “Yes, Finish Test”, the image shown below will appear. This process completes in around 15 seconds, hence candidates will be requested to wait for the stipulated time for the proper submission.
Candidates who are taking the IBT test for the first time need to be careful and must follow steps before they take up the test to avoid last-minute issues from their end.
IBT Mode Mock Test of MAT 2020
Candidates have the option to appear for the mock test of MAT 2020 for IBT mode. The MAT 2020 IBT mode mock test gives an exact view of the exam day scenario which candidates are likely to face. Those who wish to appear for the MAT 2020 mock test IBT mode need to visit the official website of AIMA i.e. mat.aima.in or click here. After that, candidates need to enter their login details like user ID and password to start the mock test of MAT 2020 IBT mode.

Admission in all the programme is based on score obtained in CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT etc. entrance examinations, personal interview and group discussions.
Cutoff lies between 85 to 90 percentile in MAT. The cut off depends upon the number of seats available, the difficulty level of paper and number of candidates writing the examination. And, hence varies every year depending on these factors.

MAT
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Level Exam and conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year for admission to around 600 B-schools across India.
The exam consists of Five sections with 40 questions in each. The sections and time for each are:
- Intelligence and Critical Reasoning - 30 minutes
- Language Comprehension - 30 minutes
- Mathematics - 35 minutes
- Data Analysis and Sufficiency - 40 minutes
- Indian and Global Environment - 15 minutes

CMAT
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Exam and is held Once a year by the National Testing Agency for admissions to over 1000 participating Institutes.
CMAT 2021 is a 3-hour test with MCQs from Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General. Each section will have 25 questions for 100 marks.

In most of the top tier 1 MBA college , the requirement of marks of graduation in any of the institute is candidates must secure 50% score in graduation from a recognized education board. so it makes you not eligible for many of the colleges. A pass in UG Degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade.
