MAH CET 2019 - Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra will conduct MAH CET 2019 on a two-day window, i.e. March 9 and 10, 2019. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) is held annually for admission to full-time Post Graduate Degree Courses in Management (MBA/MMS) in various participating institutes in Maharashtra. Around 40,000 seats are usually offered admission in the B-schools across Maharashtra state on the basis of MAH CET scores. The MAH CET application form is made available from January 10, 2019, and the last date to submit the online application form is February 15, 2019. Aspirants of MAH CET 2019 should know that MAH CET 2018 had witnessed a record number of almost 1.06 lakh students who applied for the Maharashtra-common entrance test (MAH CET) for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management Studies (MMS) courses, out of which around 98,602 candidates appeared for the test. The top score of 165 out of 200 in the MAH CET Exam 2018 was secured by Divya Govardhan Biyani. The topper has secured 99.99 percentile in the CET.

DTE Maharashtra will formulate the eligibility criteria of MAH CET 2019. All aspirants need to fulfil the following MAH CET 2019 eligibility criteria-
Applicants applying for the MAH CET 2019 need to be a graduate or have acquired an equivalent degree from a recognised university.
- General category candidates must have obtained 50 per cent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA and reserved category candidates must obtain 45 per cent in their undergraduate studies.
Final year graduation students can also apply for the examination. However, they need to produce their graduation certificate at the time of counselling.
The application form of MAH CET 2019 is available online from January 10 2019, and the last date of submission will be February 15, 2019. Applicants will need to first register by entering a valid e-mail ID and generate a unique password. After the process of registration, the candidates need to re-login and fill all the required details on the form. The MAH CET 2019 exam conducting body, DTE Maharashtra states that no application form and fee will be accepted by post/courier or any other mode besides online submission. Else the MAH CET 2019 application form will be rejected.
MAH CET 2019 Application Fee - The application fee of MAH CET 2019 has to be paid either through net banking or by a debit/credit card. Candidates belonging to the General category will need to pay a fee of Rs 1000, while the fee for reserved category candidates is Rs 800. The fee structure is provided below-

The admit card of MAH CET 2019 will be available in online mode from March 1, 2019, onwards. Candidates, who will duly register for the MAH MBA/MMS CET 2019 will use their login details to download the MAH CET 2019 admit card or hall ticket. All candidates are required to take a printout of the MAH CET 2019 admit card and carry the same on the exam day. No hall tickets or admit cards will be sent by courier or via post.
DTE will release the exam pattern of MAH CET 2019. According to last year’s exam pattern of MAH CET 2019, the exam will include 200 MCQs (Five options) from four sections, which candidates have to answer online. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes/ 2.5 hours. According to the scoring scheme, one mark will be awarded for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the paper.

MAH CET 2019 syllabus will be prepared by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The questions will be divided into three sections, namely
Logical / Abstract Reasoning – This section includes questions to measure the thinking ability and accuracy of candidates. The test may have questions from figures, diagrams, verbal reasoning, etc.
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension – This section includes reading passages followed by related questions to test the student’s comprehension skills. Questions on grammar, sentence completion, vocabulary, antonyms, comprehension of passages, synonyms, etc are a part of this section as well.
Quantitative Aptitude – This section includes questions to analyse the speed and accuracy of candidates with numbers and numerical calculations. The section also includes different arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, quantitative reasoning, percentage, interpretation of tables, charts, common graphs etc.
MAH CET 2019 will be conducted at various test centres across India. Candidates can select any three exam centres as their preference while filling the application form of MAH CET 2019.

According to the last year’s exam analysis (MAH CET 2018), experts from IMS Learning said that the overall difficulty level of the exam was lower than the previous year's exam with marginally tougher Abstract section. QA section ranged from easy to moderate on difficulty scale while VARC was slightly difficult than the previous year. The Logical Reasoning section consisted of pretty difficult arrangement based sets. The Abstract Reasoning section had easy to moderate questions. The Quantitative Aptitude section had a mix of moderate level DI sets and also easy to moderate questions. Finally, the Verbal Ability/ Reading Comprehension section consisted of questions at lower levels of difficulty in comparison to the same section in MAH CET 2017. The VA section had added a few new types of questions.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra, the exam conducting authority of MAH CET never released the answer key. The reason behind this decision is the online mode of exam. MAH CET answer key 2019 can be made available only when it will be officially released by DTE.

The MAH CET 2019 result will carry the candidates' secured Rank, Scores and Percentiles. The MAH CET result 2019 will be announced on March 31, 2019. Candidates will be able to check their result by entering into the official website and then by login using the Registration Number and Date of Birth in (DD/MM/YY). The provisional merit list of MAH MBA/MMS 2019 will be declared which would be followed by the final merit list publication. According to last year’s statistics, out of 200 marks, the highest score that was obtained was 145. On the other hand, as many as 49 candidates have managed to score zero in the exam. Only qualifying candidates who will receive their results as per the cutoff/merit will be allowed to appear in the counselling rounds. After the completion of the counselling rounds, the final merit list will be declared tentatively in the second week of June 2019.
DTE will release MAH CET 2019 cutoff after the announcement of result. It will be formulated on the basis of MAH CET 2019 cut off, that students will be called for counselling rounds. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks or percentile which candidates must secure in order to qualify for counselling rounds. Post declaration of the final results of the MAH CET 2019, the DTE officials will conduct the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds tentatively from the month of June, 2019. According to the marks obtained by the candidates, their ranks would be determined and allotment would be exercised to respective participating institutes/colleges. On completion of the MAH CET 2019 counselling rounds / CAP rounds, the final list of selected candidates will be announced.

Aspirants come up with several questions about MAH CET 2019 including the registration process, application procedure, admit card download method to name a few.
Q. Do I require any documents to get registered online?
A. Not really. You will only be required to fill the information in the online MAH CET application form 2019 like birth-date, residential address, contact details like mobile no., email id, bank details, Aadhaar Number, etc.
Q. If I make a mistake while filling-in the personal details such as my name/father's / husband's first name / last name/mother's first name/date of birth. Is there any way I can rectify the error?
A. Yes, surely. You will be permitted to correct the mistakes, if any, by sending a letter to the exam conducting authority, MHT-CET, Mumbai. however, the mentioned letter should be submitted before the declaration of MAH CET results and should be accompanied by SSC mark sheet of the candidate.
Q. How to get the login credential for logging into the MAH CET official website?
A. While filling the online registration, you will need to generate your own password. post submission of the registration form, the system will generate a unique application number that candidates need to keep safely till the end of the process. Both the application number and password are confidential details; not to be shared with anyone for security reasons. The password is too important a document and should be kept confidential for participating in the online processes until the admissions.
Q. How to retrieve the forgotten password I created during the process of registration?
A. If you forget the created password, you will be able to retrieve the same. From the official website, click on tab 'Forgot Password.' You will be required to enter certain details like the MHT CET application number, date of birth and your mother's first name as filled during the time of the registration. The system will validate the data from the registered candidates' database. After matching the entries, the system will allow you to create a new password.
Q. If I have passed /appearing for (HSC)12th / Equivalent Examination from a School/Jr. College in Mumbai, how do I know if the District of College falls under Mumbai(11) or Mumbai Suburban(12).
A. If your School / Jr. College is situated anywhere between Colaba and Mahim or Colaba and Sion, then select Mumbai(11) and if it is beyond Sion and Mahim, then select Mumbai Suburban(12).
Q. If I belong to ST category of Madhya Pradesh, will I get the reservation benefit of ST category candidates?
A. No, you will not be eligible for the reservation. The reservation will be offered to the backward class candidates of Maharashtra state alone. No other state candidates will be able to avail the relaxation.
Q. I come from OBC- creamy layer family of Maharashtra state and have the caste certificate as well. Shall I get the benefit of OBC category?
A. You are not eligible for availing the OBC reservation. The OBC candidates of Maharashtra State will have to produce the NCL valid up to 31st March 2019 during the document verification stage of CAP rounds, else, they will be treated as General category candidates for granting admission.
Q. Are there any restrictions on the file size for the photograph and signature?
A. Yes. The exam conducting body has stipulated the file size of the photograph which should be between 15 KB to 50 KB and the signature file should be between 5 KB to 50 KB.
