MAH CET 2018

MAH CET MAH CET 2018 - Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has announced the MAH CET 2018 exam dates. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) 2018 will be held on March 10 and 11, 2018 in online mode. MAH CET 2018 will be conducted for the admissions to postgraduate management programmes (MBA/MMS) in B-schools across Maharashtra. The application form of MAH CET 2018 will be available from the third week of January 2018. Candidates who successfully fill the application form can download the admit card of MAH CET 2018 tentatively from the third week of February 2018. DTE, Maharashtra will be declaring the MAH CET result in the third week of March 2018. Around 40,000 seats are usually offered admission in the B-schools across Maharashtra state on the basis of MAH MBA/MMS CET scores. As many as 88,226 candidates actually appeared for the exam last year while the total number of applicants for the MAH CET examination was 94,679. Around seven percent applicants dropped the test. MAH CET Eligibility Criteria 2018


The eligibility criteria of MAH CET 2018 has been formulated by DTE Maharashtra and the same has been described below-

  • Aspirants applying for the MAH CET 2018 need to be a graduate or have acquired an equivalent degree from a recognised university.

  • General category candidates must have 50 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA and reserved category candidates must have 45 per cent in their graduation.

  • Students, who are in their final year of graduation, can apply for the examination as well. However, they need to produce their graduation certificate at the time of counselling.  

  • There is no age limit for candidates in order to appear for MAH CET 2018

MAH CET Application Form 2018


The application procedure of MAH CET 2018 will be completely online. MAH CET 2018 application forms are expected to be available from the third week of January 2018 and will be concluded in the second week of February 2018. All eligible candidates should duly fill up their online applications. Applicants first need to register by entering a valid e-mail id and generate a password. After the process of registration, the candidate needs to re-login and fill all the mandatory information required on the form.


MAH CET Application Fee - The application fee of MAH CET 2018 has to be paid either through net banking or by a debit/credit card. Candidates belonging to the General category need to pay a fee of Rs 1000, while the fee for reserved category candidates will be Rs 800. The fee structure is expected to remain unaltered.

The MAH CET 2018 exam governing officials DTE Maharashtra clearly states that no MAH CET application form and fee will be accepted by post/courier or any other mode besides online submission. Else the MAH CET Application Form will be rejected.


MAH CET Exam Pattern 2018


DTE will release the exam pattern of MAH CET 2018 along with the notification. According to the exam pattern of MAH CET 2018, the exam will include 200 MCQs from four sections, which candidates have to answer online. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes or two and a half hours. According to the marking scheme, there will be one mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the paper.

MAH CET Syllabus 2018


MAH CET 2018 syllabus is designed by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The questions are divided into three sections, namely

  • Logical / Abstract Reasoning – This section includes questions to measure the thinking ability and accuracy of candidates. The test may have questions from figures, diagrams, verbal reasoning, etc.

  • Quantitative Aptitude – This section includes questions to analyse the speed and accuracy of candidates with numbers and numerical calculations. The section also includes different arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, quantitative reasoning, percentage, interpretation of tables, charts, common graphs etc.

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension – This section includes reading passages followed by related questions to test the student’s comprehension skills. Questions on grammar, sentence completion, vocabulary, antonyms, comprehension of passages, synonyms, etc are a part of this section as well.

MAH CET Admit Card 2018


The admit card of MAH CET 2018 will be available from the third week of February 2018 onwards. Candidates, who will successfully register for the MAH MBA/MMS CET 2018 can use their login details to download their admit card or the hall ticket. All candidates are required to take a printout of the MAH CET 2018 admit card and carry it on the day of the test. The candidates will not receive the admit card or the hall ticket by courier or post.

MAH CET Answer Key 2018


The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra, the exam conducting body of MAH CET has not released the answer key till date. The reason behind this decision is the online mode of MAH CET exam. MAH CET 2018 answer key can be made available only when it will be released by DTE. MAH CET 2018 will be conducted for two consecutive days in the first week of March 2018.


MAH CET Result 2018


The result for the MAH CET 2018 exam will be announced tentatively in the third week of March 2018. The MAH CET 2018 result will have the candidates' secured Rank, Scores and Percentiles. Candidates will be able to check their result by entering into the official website and then by login using the MAH CET 2018 Registration Number and Date of Birth in (DD/MM/YY) format. The provisional merit list of MAH MBA/MMS 2018 will be declared during the first week of June 2018. According to last year’s statistics, out of 200 marks, the highest score that was obtained was 145. On the other hand, as many as 49 candidates have managed to score zero in the exam. Only qualifying candidates who will receive their results as per the cutoff/merit will be allowed to appear in the counselling rounds. After the completion of the counselling rounds, the final merit list will be declared in the second week of June 2018.

The officials, DTE, will release MAH CET 2018 cutoff after the announcement of result. It is on the basis of MAH CET 2018 cut off, that students will be called for counselling rounds. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks or percentile which candidates must secure in order to qualify for counselling rounds. MAH CET Counselling Process 2018


After the declaration of the final results of the MAH CET 2018, the officials will conduct Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds from the second week of May 2018 and continue till the first week of June 2018. According to the marks obtained by the candidates, their ranks are determined and are allotted to respective institutes/colleges. On completion of the MAH CET 2018 counselling rounds / CAP rounds, the final list of selected candidates will be declared tentatively during the third week of June 2018.
