The XAT exam has a unique marking scheme. Like most competitive exams, it also awards one mark for every correct answer and deducts 0.25 for every incorrect one. However, it also removes 0.10 marks for more than 8 un-answered questions. The only section where there is no negative marking is the General Knowledge (GK) section.
5. How important are taking online mock tests during the XAT preparation?
Since the exam will be held online, you need to be familiar with the online test-taking mode. For this, you need to take plenty of mock tests to practise well and ace the exam later. By taking many mocks, you are completing an essential part of the preparation as they help you track your progress and strengths and build speed, time management and other skills within you.
