The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance test conducted by The National Testing Agency (NTA) annually to offer admission into management programmes at various private and government colleges which accept CMAT score. Every government college which accepts CMAT scores has released their individual cutoff. Also, the selection process is different for each government institute that accepts the CMAT score.

Those candidates who clear the CMAT cutoff will be able to participate for the selection process. The selection process comprises Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). After completion of selection round, institutes whii release the final merit list of selected candidates.
Group Discussion (GD)- This is the very first step of the selection process of government colleges accepting CMAT score. Only those candidates who clear the specified cutoff of the participating college will be called for GD round by the respective institutions.
Written Ability Test (WAT)- In order to check candidates writing ability, some of the institutes conduct WAT round.
Personal Interview (PI)- The last round of selection process is Personal Interview (PI) round. Only those who clear GD and WAT round called for PI process before offering final admission.
