Question: Who administers the NMAT by GMAC exam?

Answer: The NMAT by GMAC exam is a computer-based mode exam owned by the Graduate Management Global Connection, a subsidiary of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

Candidates can take NMAT by GMAC exam in two modes i.e. Online Proctored Exam at Home and Exam at the Test Centre within India. For the rest of the countries, the NMAT exam is available only as an Online Proctored Exam at Home.

Answer: Only applicable for candidates outside India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan. Candidates may cancel their exam within 7 days from the date of their NMAT test registration and receipt of full payment.

Answer: All candidates will have to go through a test taker identification process on the day of the NMAT test. The digital photograph and digital signature of each candidate will be taken and kept for records.

Question: What to carry inside the NMAT exam centre?

Answer: Candidates are not required to carry anything other than confirmation email print out, admit card and two IDs.

For Online Proctored Exam at Home: Students will be required to show two A4 blank sheets for rough work and a pencil for calculations.

Answer: There are no scheduled breaks in the NMAT 2024 test.

Question: While taking the NMAT test, can I return to previous questions to review them or change answers?

Answer: No, you cannot return to previous questions.

Question: What happens if a test taker clicks “NO, I do not Accept” on a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) screen by mistake?

Answer: Candidates can not resume the exam on that day for any circumstance. Nothing can be done by the examination center staff and the examinee will lose the examination effort as well as the examination fee.

Question: What will happen if the computer malfunctions in the middle of the NMAT by GMAC test?

Answer: The NMAT test centre staff will need to reboot the computer. During this process, the examinee will not lose the answers already entered. The computer system in the test center instantly stores the answers of all the candidates.

Question: What is CBT mode?

Answer: Computer Based Test (CBT) is a method of administering tests at a predetermined testing location in which the responses are electronically recorded, assessed or both.

Question: What computer skills are needed to take tests via CBT?

Answer: Candidates do not need to have prior computer experience to use CBT. No typing skills are needed. A demo NMAT test is also offered free on the GMAC website for students to acclimatize themselves before the test.

Answer: Candidates who wish to request for special assistance must fill the details in the online application while registering for NMAT 2024. The candidates must scan their Disability Certificate and upload to the NMAT registration application in order to be approved for necessary accommodation.
