CMAT scores are the total marks secured by the candidates based on the CMAT marking scheme as specified by the National Testing Agency. CMAT score can also be considered to be the total of marks obtained by the candidate in the CMAT exam in all four sections. Candidates can refer to the following pointers to calculate the CMAT 2026 score.
The same can be understood with the example given below:
Status of questions | Student A | Student B |
Question Answered | 100 | 88 |
Correct Answers | 75 | 80 |
Wrong Answers | 25 | 8 |
Marks for Correct Answers | 75*4=300 | 80*4=320 |
Marks for Wrong Answers | 25*1=25 | 8*1=8 |
CMAT Score | 300-25=275 | 320-8=312 |
The CMAT 2026 percentile score is the percentage of the candidates that have scored equal to or below the particular percentile in the CMAT exam. The marks obtained between the lowest and highest scores are also converted to appropriate CMAT exam percentiles.
In order to avoid the bunching effect and reduction of ties, the percentile of the CMAT exam is calculated up to 7 decimal places. The CMAT percentile score for a candidate is calculated using the given formula:
Total Percentile (TP1) = 100 x (No. of candidates who appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO or LESS than T1 score/ Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session)
NOTE: The percentile of the total will not be the sum or average of the percentile of the individual subject. The percentile score will not be equal to the percentage of marks obtained.
Here is the expected CMAT score range and the percentile after score normalization for this year.
CMAT Score Range out of 400 Maximum Marks | CMAT Percentile Range |

Hello,
Yes, you will likely need to pass CMAT 2026 to be eligible for an MCA at LD College, as it is a common entrance exam for MCA programs. To be eligible for CMAT, you must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline or be in your final year of graduation. For admission to the MCA program itself, you'll need a passing score on CMAT (the exact cutoff is determined by the college) and meet the college's specific requirements, which often include a bachelor's degree and minimum passing marks of 50% (45% for reserved categories).
I hope it will clear your query!!
