Candidates seeking admission through the MAH MBA CET CAP 2026 counselling process must satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Eligibility varies slightly for Maharashtra State candidates, All India candidates, and NRI/OCI/PIO candidates. All candidates must have obtained a bachelor’s degree or be in their final year of graduation to be eligible for the MAH MBA CAP 2026.

The MAH MBA CET CAP 2026 counselling process consists of several stages, starting from registration and ending with admission confirmation. Here is a brief on the MAH MBA CAP 2026 process.
Candidates must register themselves for the MAH CAT 2026 counselling online from the Maharashtra CET Cell portal. Candidates must fill in their personal, academic, and entrance exam details, upload documents, and pay the counselling fee. Candidates should carefully verify all information before final submission, as incorrect details may lead to issues during verification.
After registration, candidates must upload all required documents for verification. The CET Cell generally conducts e-scrutiny, where officials verify the uploaded documents online. If there is any error in the documents, candidates will be notified and given a chance to rectify the errors within the given timeframe.
Once document verification is completed, the CET Cell releases the MAH CET 2026 CAP Provisional Merit List. This list contains the names and ranks of all eligible candidates participating in CAP 2026. The merit list will contain the candidate's name, merit rank, category, entrance exam score and other details.
Candidates should thoroughly review the provisional merit list. Any mismatch in category, marks, candidature type, or reservation claim should be reported immediately through the grievance mechanism. The CET Cell reviews all grievances and makes necessary corrections before releasing the Final Merit List.
CET cell will release the MAH MBA final merit list 2026 for the CAP counselling. The merit rank mentioned in this list will be used for seat allotment throughout the CAP rounds.
Before the option form filling begins, CET Cell publishes the Seat Matrix for participating colleges. The seat matrix will have college-wise seats, category-wise seat distribution, and more details.
The option submission or option filling is the most crucial stage fo the MAH MBA CAP 2026 counselling. During this phase, candidates must select and arrange colleges in their preferred order. The allotment software considers the preference order submitted by the candidate. Therefore, a strategically filled option form can significantly improve admission outcomes.

MBA aspirants who are allotted a seat in round 1 of the CAP 2026 counselling will have two choices in front of them.
Accept the allotted college.
Exit further CAP rounds.
Proceed with admission formalities.
Participate in the next CAP round for a higher-preference college.
Retain eligibility for seat upgradation.
Candidates allotted their first preference are usually auto-frozen and cannot participate in further rounds.
Candidates who accept a seat must report to the allotted institute, submit original documents, pay the admission fee, and complete admission formalities within the stipulated time.
Candidates who are not allotted seats or seek betterment can participate in CAP Round 2, Round 3, and additional rounds (if conducted). After CAP concludes, colleges may conduct Institute-Level Rounds (ILR) for the students if there are any vacant seats.
