Let us understand the IIM Rohtak admission criteria, which have been released for the 2026-28 batch in detail.
Stage 1: Online Registration for PGP Admission 2026-28
All interested candidates will need to register themselves for the IIM Rohtak for the PGP program for the 2026-28 batch. All candidates interested in the same must note that the minimum eligibility criteria will be based on the aggregate percentile scores in the CAT 2025, which are as follows:

Stage 2: Personal Interview (PI)
All candidates will need to qualify Stage 1 to be able to appear in Stage 2, i.e. Personal Interview. Following this, all shortlisted candidates will be informed by email to download their call letters to appear in the PI. Key details about the PI, such as date, time and other required guidelines which will be mentioned in the call letter.
Stage 3: Final Selection List based on CAT, Personal Interview & Diversity scores
As per IIM Rohtak, 60% of the weightage will be given to the CAT score. A total of 20% will be awarded to the Personal Interview (PI) score, and 20% will be given to Academic and Gender Diversity.
All components, such as the CAT score, PI score and Diversity, will together help in the making of the merit list. Accordingly, candidates will be contacted for the Stage 4 admission process.
Stage 4: Provisional Admission Offer for PGP Programme 2026-28
In this stage, all selected candidates will be given a provisional offer letter, which will be strictly based on merit/rank list and the availability of seats in each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST & DAP) as per GOI.
All shortlisted candidates will receive their provisional letter for admission via email.
Candidates who will receive a provisional offer letter must accept the offer within the stipulated date and deposit the Offer Acceptance Amount (as mentioned in the Offer Letter) via the admission portal only. Soon, they will receive his/her confirmation letter for provisional admission for PGP Admission 2026-28 on his/her registered email ID. All reporting formalities will be mentioned in the same.
Stage 5: Reporting for joining the PGP programme 2026-28
In this final stage, all selected candidates will need to log on to the Institute website using their login credentials and deposit the fees as mentioned in the offer letter within the stipulated time frame and report to the institute as communicated.
Finally, on the day of reporting on the campus, the admission team will physically verify the documents and allocate hostel rooms to the candidates. All must note that hostel allocation will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, separately for males and females.

For admission to IIM Rohtak’s PGP 2026-28 batch, all candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PwD category). Additionally, all candidates must also ensure that they have a valid CAT score.
Based on the CAT scores, shortlisted candidates will then be called in for PI-WAT rounds. Following this, a merit list will be prepared on the weighted aggregate of the CAT score.

With a 60k rank, getting Category 1 at VIT is probably difficult, but you still have a decent chance of getting branches like ECE, EEE, or related courses in higher categories (Category 2–5) or at VIT Chennai, AP, or Bhopal campuses.

For Cat-1 with 10-year Kannada medium quota, you should aim for around 350–450+ marks in NEET for safer chances in government colleges. Cutoff can change each year, but higher marks always improve your chances of getting a good seat.
