XLRI, Jamshedpur conducted XAT 2021 on January 3 in computer-based mode. XAT 2021 analysis by Bulls Eye. Bulls Eye XAT Analysis - Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
The level of Quantitative Aptitude (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) was moderate to tough. In DI, there were a total of three sets of three questions each. One out of three sets was difficult. There was a set of 3 questions on Venn Diagram and it was moderate level. The set based on Male and Female workers was time consuming. In Quant, the major focus was on Algebra & Geometry with 6 & 5 questions respectively. The doable questions were from topics such as Percentage, TSD & Ratio etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate to tough.

Verbal and Logical Ability
The Verbal section was moderate to tough. The questions were based on Reading Comprehension, Sentence Rearrangement, Critical Reasoning and Grammar. The length of the passages was moderate level. One of the RCs was based on "number crunching", and one RC was based on "Gender inequality". Other RC based on a short poem. One RC was based on "Multitasking & Swiftness". The options were very close in Reading Comprehension section and therefore it was time consuming. Almost half of the questions in RCs were critical reasoning based. In order to answer the questions correctly it was imperative for the candidates to identify the traps set by the examiners. The entire section was dominated by Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning. The questions on Grammar were based on fundamentals. The overall fee of the section was moderate.

General Awareness
There were a total of 25 question in General Awareness consisting of Static GK based questions covering Books, Art forms of states, Geography, History etc, and Current Questions based on Ecoomic Data and General terms, Science and Technology etc. The level of this section was moderate. Since there was no negative marking in this section so by using guesswork or by elimination of options, one coould have gor 6-7 questions correct in addition to what one knew actually.
Decision Making and Analytical Thinking
All Decision Making (DM) questions carried equal marks. Decision Making consisted of 21 Questions based on contexts. Most of the questions were quite tricky and options were too close. The questions were based on Case lets and Case studies taken from various areas like Small Business units, Business Organization, Ethical Dilemmas and context based problem and solution. Overall difficulty level of the section was moderate.

I have a low score in CAT (34 percentile) as well as XAT(20 percentile). Should I apply at IIFM, Bhopal? I really like that college but I dont know if I should apply or not!

With this percentile in CAT and too in CAT it is impossible for you to get call from this college as the sectional cut off for each section(overall) 80 Percentile and for each subject it is 50 percentile.

Xavier Aptitute Test (XAT) is the admission test for admission to MBA/PGDM program in XLRI and other top MBA colleges.
SNAP is a postgraduate entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis International University for admission into the 28 programme offered at its 16 institutes.
NMAT is a national level MBA entrance test conducted for admission to NMIMS University and other reputed B-Schools in India.
