Verbal and Logical Ability
Verbal and logical ability section was moderately difficult as per the analysis by Bulls Eye’s experts.
The Verbal section was moderate to tough. The surprise was that RC questions did not have negative marking. Questions were based on various areas such as Reading Comprehension, Critical reasoning, Sentence Rearrangement, & grammar. The length of the passages was moderate. The RCs were based on “Knowledge becoming commodity”, and one was based on pointless jobs not reducing inspite of market economies. There was one RC based on a poem about “fire & ice by Robert Frost”. One RC was based on ‘unnatural sources of pleasure and habituation leading to emptiness’. The one was based on ‘terms like refugees/exile treated as non-negatives. The options were very close in reading comprehension section and therefore it was time consuming. Almost half of the questions in RCs were critical reasoning based. In order to answer the questions correctly it was imperative for the candidates to identify the traps set by the examiners.
As per the analysis by Bulls Eye experts for XAT 2020, attempting 18 to 22 questions will be comfortable. Refer the table below to know the number of questions that were asked from various areas:

Should I stop preparation for entrance exam and focused on remain 10+2 board exam as I heard that due to corona virus covid 19 universities can be cancelled the exam and noticed that the admission will based on 10+2 marks?
Let me assure you one thing that there is absolutely no chance of admission in engineering colleges based on class 12th board examination.JEE mains is postponed not canceled and even if gets cancelled there is no way that admission will take place based on 12th marks. So, just forget about these thing and focus on preparations because sooner or later all the exams will take place once the Covid-19 situation gets under control.
