TS ICET 2025 Key Highlights

Some of the very distinguishable highlights of the TS ICET examination examination which make it stand out from the other examinations, are listed below for the reference of the candidates.

  • One of the important highlights of the TS ICET examination is that there is no negative marking in the examination. This can be very helpful for the candidates as it enables them to make educated guesses about the questions they are unsure of.

  • Both the analytical and mathematical sections of the TS ICET examination are given equal weighatge in the TS ICET examination. This sets a balance between the sections and provides a platform for the candidates to perform better while ensuring that there can be a fair evaluation.

  • The focus of the Communication Ability section of the TS ICET 2025 question paper is on English proficiency. 80% of the questions (40/50) are directly asked from this section and can help the candidates to boost their scores.

  • The candidates must answer 200 questions within 2 hours and 30 minutes, as far as the TS ICET examination is concerned. This would give them 45 seconds to answer each question to attempt all the questions. Hence, TS ICET time management is essential for the candidates to prepare well for the examination.

  • The TS ICET exam has no fixed time for each section, giving candidates the freedom to prioritise questions based on their strengths. This flexibility makes it important for the candidates to plan their answering strategy in advance.

TS ICET 2025 Last Minute Tips

Since the TS ICET exam is around the corner, it is essential for the candidates to go through the last-minute TS ICET exam tips, which can be very useful for the candidates on their TS ICET exam day. The candidates are strongly advised to follow the TS ICET last-minute tips to perform well in the TS ICET examination.

Revise the Key Concepts

The candidates should go through the important TS ICET 2025 topics, which will help them to score higher marks with limited preparation time. The candidates can go through the TS ICET previous year question papers, note down the frequency of questions getting asked repeatedly from a single subtopic and prepare and start prioritising these topics for the TS ICET 2025 examination.

Practice Mock Tests and Previous Papers

Towards the end of any exam preparation, the candidates always indulge themselves in solving the previous year's question papers and mock tests. This is very important as it gives the candidates immense TS ICET preparation through the abundance of practice. TS ICET mock tests are also essential for the candidates who are looking for practice because they follow the exact pattern of the TS ICET examination and are the closest to a real-time TS ICET exam experience for the candidates.

Don’t Learn New Topics Now

One of the major mistakes made by the candidates during their TS ICET 2025 preparation is that they tend to compare themselves with other candidates and try to cram a lot of new concepts and questions into their brains in an attempt to complete as many topics as possible. This is not at all a good practice because a few days before the examination should be reserved only for revision and complete mind relaxation. Learning new concepts now is not going to help the candidates and can even create unnecessary doubts in their minds.

Focus on Time Management

Since the candidate must answer 200 questions within 2.5 hours, time management plays an essential role. The aim of the candidates must be to attempt as many questions as possible with a high rate of accuracy. Initially, focus on accuracy, and later, the candidates should focus on effective time management. One good practice is that the candidate should begin with the communication ability section because it can be solved in less time, and use this surplus to solve the other time-consuming questions.

Prepare Exam-Day Essentials

The candidate should also keep all their exam day essentials, such as the TS ICET admit card, valid ID proof, pen, etc, in advance before the exam day to avoid any last-minute rush. The candidates should also have a good understanding of the TS ICET exam centre and try to arrive at least 30 minutes before the actual exam reporting time.

Stay Calm and Positive

The days leading up to the TS ICET exam day can be stressful and often anxiety-inducing for the candidates. While a bit of exam fear is okay, a high amount of anxiety may negatively affect the candidate’s TS ICET results. The candidates should try to get proper rest before the exam day and maintain a calm mindset to perform well under pressure.

Questions related to TSICET

On Question asked by student community

Have a question related to TSICET ?

For MBA admission through TS ICET, a residence certificate is generally required if you are applying under the state quota, as it helps determine your eligibility for local category seats. Usually, the residence certificate of the student is preferred, but in some cases, the father’s or guardian’s certificate may also be accepted, depending on the rules of the admitting college or university. Regarding the bonafide certificates from Class 8 to B.Com issued by Telangana schools and colleges, these are helpful to prove that you have studied in Telangana, but most authorities still require an official residence certificate to confirm domicile eligibility.

Good afternoon. Yes, a residence or domicile certificate is required to get a seat in MBA through TSICET.

According to the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE):

You must satisfy the local or non-local status criteria as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974.

This is essential for:

Seat allotment

Fee reimbursement

Reservation benefits

Documents You’ll Need for TSICET Counseling

Residence/Domicile Certificate (issued by MRO or Tahsildar)

TSICET Rank Card & Hall Ticket

Class 10 & 12 Marksheets

Degree Certificate (or provisional)

Aadhaar Card

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

Income Certificate (for fee reimbursement)

Hi Anjum!

Thanks for your question. Based on your TS ICET 2025 rank of 6000 and the fact that you're from the BC-B girl category, you do have a fair chance to get a seat in VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNR VJIET) for MCA.

In previous years, BCB girl candidates with ranks around 5000–7000 have been able to secure seats in good colleges like VNR, especially in later counselling phases or spot rounds. VNR is one of the better colleges in Telangana for MCA, so the cutoff can vary slightly based on demand that year. Since you're from a reserved category and female, you get the benefit of category and gender-based reservation which improves your chances.

I would strongly suggest participating in Phase 2 of counselling, keeping VNR as a top choice, and also adding a few backup colleges just in case. You can also keep an eye out for spot admissions where vacancies are filled quickly.

Wishing you all the best with your MCA admission,

With a 9007 TS ICET 2025 rank and SC category, you have a good chance to get into reputed MBA/MCA colleges in Telangana. Colleges like CMR, Malla Reddy, Badruka, and Telangana University are within reach. Top colleges like CBIT or JNTU-H may be harder but possible in later rounds. Prioritize your web options wisely, attend all counselling rounds, and keep your documents ready for verification.

Hello ma'am,

Thanks for reaching out!

Yes ,with your TS ICET rank of 3168 in the BC-B female category you have a good chance of getting an MCA seat at CBIT. since their cut-offs have gone upto 6,000 above in recent years. However, seat allotment may vary based on seat availability, number of applicants and reservation policy .so,It's wise to fill in plenty of options and attend councelling as per the schedule to secure the best possible seat.
