Qualifying marks refer to the minimum number of marks a candidate needs to score out of the total 200 marks in the AP ICET exam to be eligible for:
Receiving a rank
Participating in the counselling process
Securing admission in MBA/MCA courses
These marks are different from cut-off ranks, which are determined later during admissions based on various factors like availability of seats and candidate performance.
OC (General/Unreserved) candidates must score at least 50 out of 200 marks to qualify in the AP ICET 2025 exam.
BC, SC and ST candidates have no minimum AP ICET qualifying mark requirement; they are eligible for ranking and counselling regardless of score.
Important Reads:
Meeting the qualifying marks is crucial because:
No rank = No admission: Only candidates who meet the cut-off are given a rank, which is essential for participating in counselling.
Merit list consideration: Higher scores improve your position in the merit list, which increases the chances of getting into top colleges.
Scholarships and Fee Reimbursement: Many scholarships and government-funded fee reimbursement schemes are applicable only to candidates meeting the qualifying mark criteria.
If a candidate from the General or OBC category scores below 50 marks, they will not be eligible for a rank or counselling. SC/ST candidates, however, will still be considered.

On Question asked by student community
If you haven't take any action like reporting or submitting documents in second counselling college you can continue your 1st counseling seat in AP ICET.
Since you don't want the second round seat report to first college to claim your seat.
Good luck..
Hi,
With a general rank of 13,964 and a local rank of 1,529 in bc-d category in au region, your chances of getting a seat in main campus universities like krishna university, acharya nagarjuna university, or adikavi nannaya university depend on the course demand. in 2nd counseling, seats sometimes open up in less-demanded specializations (like certain mba/mca branches), but popular courses may close earlier. i’d recommend filling as many preferred options as possible and also considering affiliated colleges to maximize your chance.

Thanks for asking and good luck in the next round.
Hello,
If your degree college Transfer Certificate (TC) has a clerical mistake in the caste category that the principal manually corrected, with the correction properly signed and stamped, it is usually deemed acceptable for the APICET counselling process, as long as there is no discrepancy between the caste listed on your official caste certificate and what appears on the TC.
Nonetheless, as counseling authorities frequently favor documents that are pristine and devoid of errors, it is highly advised that you have an affidavit detailing the clerical mistake and the rectification done, in addition to your original caste certificate provided by a qualified authority.
Moreover, if feasible, ask your degree college to provide a new corrected TC to prevent any avoidable issues during document verification. Acting in this manner will guarantee a seamless counselling process and reduce the likelihood of document denial.
Hope this helps. All the best!
