Another day and another MBA admission 2026 mis-management came into the limelight. After IIM Udaipur and IIM Amritsar, IIM Kashipur, this time its PGDBA results 2026, one of ISI + IIT Kharagpur + IIM Calcutta course, where entire admission offers have been cancelled almost 21 days after the publication of result. As per the latest update, on June 08, 2026, PGDBA course results 2026 were cancelled in its entirety and on the same day new PGDBA 2026 results were announced. Now, if you compare both the selected candidates lists, one can find out that the at least 7 candidates who were there in the first selected list have failed to make the cut this time.

The PGDBA course is offered jointly by IIM Calcutta, ISI Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur, As per IIM Calcutta official website, this year the responsibility of this course was on ISI Kolkata. This year, the PGDBA 2026 result was announced on May 19, 2026 and the list of selected candidates were published.
However, after almost three weeks, on June 08, 2026, in an update, it was announced that the entire PGDBA course results were cancelled.
The update also stated that the PGDBA result was cancelled due to “an oversight on assigning POINTS corresponding to class-XII marks and work experience to calculate the final score.”
On the same day, ISI Kolkata again announced the PGDBA result 2026 with the revised list and mentioning that PGDBA admission 2026 will be carried out based on the new rectified list.
As per the published PGDBA selected candidates list, there are a total 65 seats as per the GOI reservation norms. Now if one looks at both the selected candidates list, one will find that at least 7 candidates who were selected in the previous PGDBA list failed to find a place in the rectified list.
Now think about this, there is a possibility that after the release of the first result, these 7 students might have withdrawn from the other institution for taking PGDBA admission 2026. The PGDBA course fee was 25.0 LPA last year. Not everyone has the ability to bear the cost, what if they would have taken the student loan believing that their admission has been confirmed. Now almost after a month, their career is now at jeopardy.
Now here is the question: who will take the accountability? Is just putting up the notice and publishing the rectified lists puts all the things under the carpet? When students make mistakes they bear the consequences but when the reputed institutions like IIM C, ISI Kolkata, and IIT Kharagpur do that which affect students career, finances and future plan then who takes the responsibility?
This is not the first time this kind of mismanagement has happened in this MBA admission 2026 season. Here is the list of IIM result fiasco that has happened in 2026-
Apart from IIM Udaipur waitlist 2026 delay issue, the institute messed up during the final IIM Udaipur result 2026 announcement. On April 24, 2026, candidates were able to access their respective IIM Udaipur result 2026 by logging into the candidate dashboard. While the news spread that IIM Udaipur result is out and candidates were claiming that they have received the offer letters, IIM Udaipur released a notification that “No IIM Udaipur offer letter 2026 or IIM waitlist communication was released”.
A day later, on April 25, 2026, IIM Udaipur finally released the result on iimu.ac.in.
IIM Amritsar also became the center of discussion for this MBA admission 2026 session, and for the wrong reasons. IIM Amritsar result 2026 was published around May 15, 2026, and admission offers were rolled out. However, after some days, several management aspirants reported that their IIM Amritsar admission offers have been retracted even after they accepted the offer.
IIM Amritsar sent them the mail saying that their IIM Amritsar admission offer has been cancelled, these offers were sent due to technical glitch, and they will be refunded the money they have sent confirming the offer. This dilemma about the IIM Amritsar admission and the retraction of the IIM Amritsar Admission offer not only created enormous pressure and anxiety for the management aspirants but at the same time questioned the IIM Amritsar management.
At the end of the day, these are not just minor errors as they affect real students and their future. MBA aspirants spend months preparing, making career decisions, arranging funds, and planning their next steps based on admission results. The aspirants deserve
