Changes Introduced Last Year in the SNAP Exam Pattern

SIU did not make any major changes in the SNAP test pattern 2024, 2023 and 2022 in comparison to 2021. However, Symbiosis made some significant changes in the paper pattern of SNAP before that, which are as follows:

    • In SNAP 2023, the exam attempts were increased from two to three.

    • The SNAP 2020 exam duration was reduced to one hour. In 2019, it was two hours.

    • The number of questions was reduced to 60 with the exclusion of special questions.

    • The exam was conducted in three sessions on different dates, which is the same as last year, too.

    SNAP 2026 Marks Calculation

Check out the formula for SNAP 2026 marks calculation based on the marking scheme with an example. SNAP marks calculation formula is- Total correct questions x Marks per question - (Total Incorrect Questions x Negative Marking per question).

Suppose a candidate has attempted 45 questions, out of which 10 are incorrect, then their score will be 32.5.

    Attempted Question - 45
    Correct -35
    Incorrect -10
So the SNAP 2026 Marks would be -

    35 x 1 - (10 x 0.25) = 35 - 2.5 = 32.5 Marks

    Final Merit List Weightage

On the basis of the SNAP result, candidates will be shortlisted for the further admission process (GE-PIWAT). Each institute will conduct a separate admission process for each program. The merit list, as well as the waitlist, will be displayed on the official website of each institute on the basis of category-wise cutoff.
