PU MET 2018 - Panjab University, Chandigarh, conducted PU MET 2018 on March 17, 2018 (Saturday) for admission to MBA programme in various streams. The result of the exam was scheduled to be declared on April 27 but it has been delayed. The result will be updated here as and when it's released. Candidates who qualify the test will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The final selection of a candidate will be based on the combined performance in the exam, GD and PI. However, the maximum weightage is given to the PU MET exam. The application process for PU MET 2018 started from January 18 and continued till March 15. The University offers a total of 200 seats for its management programme through the test. PU MET 2018 was an objective type test with 200 questions. The 2-hour test was divided into four sections. PU MET 2018 Results
The result of PU MET 2018 will be announced soon. Earlier, it was scheduled to be released on April 27. Candidates who appeared for the test can check the PU MET result 2018 online either from the official website or the link will be provided here. The result of PU MET 2018 will be available in online only. To Check PU MET 2018 result, candidates will have to enter with their login credentials.
PU MET 2018 Cutoff
Candidates who appeared for the exam need to obtain a valid score though, there is no exam cutoff. The PU MET cutoff is college-based which means that the participating institutes will have their individual cutoff for the admission process. Candidates need to contact the respective college(s) to get the cutoff details.
PU MET Selection Process 2018
The selection process begins with the entrance test. Candidates who qualify the PU MET will be called for further selection rounds – Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds in the second/third week of May 2018. The cumulative performance in all the three will be the basis of the admission. Candidates who appeared for the exam can visit the noticeboard on UIAMS website to know about the GD-PI schedule and other relevant information.
The number of candidates to be called for GD-PI will be eight times the total number of seats of all these courses in each category. For example, if there are 97 seats in General category in various sectoral management programmes at UIAMS, 776 candidates will be called for GD-PI in general category.

The final list of shortlisted candidates after GD-PI will be called for the counselling in the third/fourth week of June 2018.
PU MET Exam Pattern 2018
The objective type test had 200 questions to be solved in two hours. The exam was divided into the six sections - General Knowledge, Economics & Business Environment Awareness, Data Interpretation & Problem Solving, Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability and Reasoning, and English Comprehension. Each question had four options.
Marking scheme - The exam has the negative marking which means the marks will be deducted for the incorrect response. Based on the last year’s exam,1/4th of the total marks allotted to a question will be deducted for the wrong answer.
PU MET Admit Card 2018
The admit card of PU MET 2018 was available for download on March 15, 2018. The registered candidates could download the admit card using their login id and password. Without admit card, no candidate was allowed to appear for the test. Candidates are advised to keep the admit card safe till the admission process gets over.
PU MET Eligibility Criteria 2018
The eligibility criteria of PU MET 2018 are different for different management programmes at the university. The basic eligibility criteria are given below:
A Bachelor’s or Master Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with not less than 50 percent marks in aggregate.
The candidates appearing in final degree examinations are eligible to apply and can take the written test provisionally. The result of the qualifying examination should be submitted positively by August 14, 2018.
Age Limit: There is no mention of the age in the official prospectus.
PU MET Application Form 2018
The application process started on January 18, 2018, and the last date of final submission was March 6, 2018. The application process of PU MET 2018 was completely online. Before filling the application form, candidates must make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria.
Application Fee: Candidates have to Deposit Rs. 2100/- (In case of SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, Rs.1050/-) in the SBI Bank using website generated challan.
