IIM Indore IPMAT Result 2025: How are Scores Calculated?
The IPMAT Indore scores are calculated by first converting the raw scores from the online test into an Aptitude Test Score (ATS) by using a specific formula. Thereafter, the ATS score and the Personal Interview (PI) score will be combined to arrive at a final composite score. The final selection will be based on the composite score.
ATS Calculation:
Formula: ATS Score = (Candidate’s Score/Maximum Raw Score) * 100
Example: If a candidate scores 80 out of 120 in a section and the maximum score for that section is 120, then their ATS for that section would be (80/120) * 100 = 66.67

- Having henna (mehendi) marks on your hand is not usually an issue for the IPMAT exam. Official IPMAT exam day guidelines do not explicitly state a prohibition on henna or mehendi. In other such national-level tests, it is not an issue unless the marks are so large that they hinder biometric authentication or cause suspicion of using unfair means.
- If your henna is light or nearly washed off, you will not have any issue.
- In the case of heavily regulated tests such as NEET, henna is avoided, but the guidelines of IPMAT are not quite as strict on this.
- Where possible, attempt to wash as much as possible off, particularly from your fingertips, as biometric scanning (such as fingerprint scanning) could be used.
In conclusion:
Light henna stains are normally acceptable for IPMAT. Just make sure your fingers are as clean as possible for identification purposes or biometric verification, and you should be permitted to sit the exam

It's definitely a stressful situation when your entrance exam dates clash, especially with tight travel time between centers. Let's break down your options and whether your retake marks would be considered if you skip the main NPAT exam.
Firstly, regarding the clash, the IPMAT Rohtak 2025 exam is scheduled for May 5, 2025 . The NMIMS NPAT exam has a testing window from March 1st to May 31st, 2025 , allowing candidates to schedule their preferred date within this period. If your initially scheduled NPAT date clashes with IPMAT Rohtak on May 5th, you should have the option to reschedule your NPAT exam to a different date within the testing window, provided slots are available.
Now, addressing your question about retakes and skipping the main NPAT exam:
For NMIMS NPAT , you have the option to take one main attempt and up to two retakes . According to the official NPAT FAQs, the highest score out of all your attempts (including the main attempt and any retakes) will be considered for the merit list process.
Therefore, if you choose to take a retake and decide to skip your initially scheduled "main" NPAT exam due to the clash, your score from the retake(s) will be considered , and the highest among all your attempts will be used for the merit list. You are not obligated to take the initially scheduled exam if you plan to utilize the retake option.
However, it is highly recommended to attempt the first scheduled NPAT exam if at all feasible. This gives you an initial score and an understanding of the exam pattern and difficulty level, which can help you prepare better for any subsequent retakes you might want to take. Relying solely on a retake without experiencing the main exam might put you at a disadvantage.
In your situation, the best course of action would be to immediately try to reschedule your NPAT exam to a date that does not clash with your IPMAT Rohtak exam. You can do this by logging into your NPAT registration portal on the official NMIMS website. If rescheduling to a suitable date isn't possible due to slot availability, then you can proceed with taking a retake after your IPMAT Rohtak exam. In that scenario, your retake score will indeed be considered.
