IPMAT Selection Procedure 2019 - Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM Indore) will start the selection procedure of IPMAT 2019 after the announcement of the result in the month of June 2019. The institute will tentatively announce the result of IPMAT 2019 in the last week of May. The IPMAT 2019 selection procedure includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are shortlisted first on the basis of their score/marks in IPMAT exam and then the shortlisted ones appear for WAT & PI at predefined selection centres by the institute. IPMAT 2019 was conducted on May 10 over 28 cities across India. The selection procedure of IPMAT 2019 goes through multiple stages and the overall performance of a candidate is considered for the final selection. Let’s begin with understanding the stage one.

Stage One: Appear for Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test or IPMAT
As per the exam pattern of IPMAT 2019, the exam will have three sections - Quantitative Ability- Multiple Choice, Quantitative Ability- Short Answers and Verbal Ability- Multiple Choice. The below-given table explains the exam pattern.


Exam Pattern of IPMAT 2019

Section I

Quantitative Aptitude- MCQs

This section consists 40 questions each carrying 4 marks.

Section II

Quantitative Ability- SA

This section will contain 20 questions each carrying 4 marks. candidates must note that negative marking will not be applicable in this section.

Section III

Verbal Ability- MCQ

This section will contain 40 questions, each carrying 4 marks.


Marking Scheme: Every correct answer will get 4 marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
Once the exam is conducted, the institute calls the candidates category-wise in a ratio of 1:10. Only the candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their score in the exam are called for further admission procedure.

The IIM Indore officials state, “It is also to be noted that only those candidates whose raw scores in both the sections are positive will be considered for shortlisting for PI”.

Stage Two: Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
WAT-PI round is the next stage of the selection process. The shortlisted candidates appear for these rounds at the selection centres pre-announced by IIM Indore. For PI, the candidates are judged on their level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and general knowledge. For WAT, Candidates are given a topic to write on. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in these two rounds.

Shortlisting Criteria for IPMAT 2019
As a part of the IPMAT 2019 selection procedure, test-takers will be shortlisted on the basis of IPMAT cutoff 2019 which will be announced by IIM Indore. The following table brings the category and section wise cutoff of last year’s IPMAT exam.

Computation of IPMAT Score
Based on Composite Score (CS), a category-wise merit list will be generated and a certain weightage will be assigned to different factors. It's likely to be same this year as well.

what about ipm in iim rohtak , pls provide detail

Hello Dhruv

Last year IIM Rohtak started 5 years integrated program (BMS+MMS) and give students the opportunity to get direct admission in IIM Rohtak by cracking IPMAT which is easier than CAT.

Candidate who are willing to give IPMAT exam must have 75% in 10+2 and the maximum age limit is 20 years.

After clearing the exam IPMAT,a candidate have to go through with GD/PI.

my d.o.b is 17.03.2000 am I eligible for ipm indore and I am from general category ?

Hi Pranay
You are eligible for IP MAT exam, since your date of birth is 17 -3-2000. A candidate who is born on or after August 1 of 1999 ( general category) is eligible for IPM at 2020.
The Other eligibility criteria are
Candidate has to get 60% marks in 12th or equivalent board which is conducted in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2020
candidate is selected based on written ability test aptitude test and personal interview
IPMAT exam will take place on 30 April 2020.
IIM Indore has well qualified staffs and other facilities.

i got 44 marks in maths in class 12th exams, can i still apply for ipmat.

see if you meet the eligibility criteria you may surely apply.  for general and obc category marks criteria in 60% in 10+2 course in aggregate  from a recognized board.

for sc/st/pwd candidates it is 55% marks in aggregate is needed in 10+2 course from a recognized board.. follow the below link to know more details:

Greetings!

Yes, dear Ipmat questions paper will be same for both maths and non - maths students. IPMAT question paper will have 40 questions on Quantitative Ability, 40 questions on verbal ability and 20 questions from verbal ability. And it will be same for all the students appearing for the examination irrespective of whether they had studied Maths or not in their 10+2 . how much time to get preparation for ipmat??

There are approximately 6 months that is around 180 days left for the exam. IIM Indore will be conducting IPMAT 2020 on May 16, 2020 for admission to its 5 year integrated programme. The candidates for IPM will be selected on the basis of overall performance in IPMAT , Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI).
