IPMAT Selection Procedure 2018: The IPMAT results have been declared on May 28 and the selection procedure of IPMAT 2018 will be conducted for selecting final candidates for admissions to the Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Indore. IPMAT was successfully conducted by IIM Indore on May 11, 2018, across 28 test centres in India. As per the structure set by IIM Indore for IPMAT exam, the IPMAT 2018 selection procedure consists of two stages. The first stage shortlists students on the basis of overall score secured in the Aptitude Test (AT) and the second stage shortlists on the basis of Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Students are selected on the basis of AT for the next rounds, i.e. WAT & PI which will be held in the first week of June 2018. IPMAT Selection Procedure Stages
Stage One: Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test or IPMAT
As per the revised pattern set by IIM Indore, IPMAT 2018 will be conducted in three sections namely Quantitative Ability- Multiple Choice, Quantitative Ability- Short Answer and Verbal Ability- Multiple Choice
Section 1: Quantitative Aptitude- MCQ. This section consists 40 questions each carrying 4 marks.
Section 2: Quantitative Ability- SA. This section will contain 20 questions each carrying 4 marks. candidates must note that negative marking will not be applicable in this section.
Section 3: Verbal Ability- MCQ. This section will contain 40 questions, each carrying 4 marks.
For each incorrect answer, there is a penalty of one mark.
After the test, the candidates will be called in a ratio of 1:10, category-wise. Only shortlisted students are called for the further procedures. The IIM Indore officials state, “It is also to be noted that only those candidates whose raw scores in both the sections are positive will be considered for shortlisting for PI”.
Stage Two: Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
The next stage of IPMAT 2018 will be the WAT-PI rounds, where the shortlisted candidates are interviewed by a panel of IIM Indore. The interview judges the students’ level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge. They have to also write an essay on a given topic. The selection at this round depends on the candidate's performance in these two rounds. This is the last stage after which students are selected and are given final admissions to the five-year integrated management programme. The best 120 candidates are granted admission to this prestigious course.
Shortlisting Criteria for IPMAT 2018

As per last year’s weightage scheme, a category-wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in the table and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly. It's likely to stay same this year.

The final selection list is expected to be declared in the third week of June 2018. As many as 17,000 students are expected to have appeared this year against last year’s 16,720 test-takers who appeared for the test.
