The IPMAT and JIPMAT acceptance rate is generally very low considering the limited seats and high competition among candidates. Also, these programs are offered only by a handful of institutes. IPMAT and JIPMAT are the two exams that can be taken by candidates for pursuing a 5 year integrated management program. Out of the 5 years both the courses, IPMAT and JIPMAT consist of a three-year BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) and a two-year MBA (Master in Business Administration).

What is IPMAT and JIPMAT Acceptance Rate
The IPMAT and JIPMAT acceptance rate refers to the percentage of applicants that finally get selected for the program out of all the applicants that apply. The IPMAT and JIPMAT acceptance rates are influenced by several factors like total seats, number of applicants, reservation criteria, etc. The extent to which these factors influence the IPMAT and JIPMAT acceptance rates are explained below.
Factors influencing IPMAT and JIPMAT Acceptance Rate
- Seat Matrix: The course for the Integrated program in management is offered only by a handful of colleges namely, IIM Jammu, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak, and IIM Ranchi. Therefore the seat matrix highly influences the acceptance rate of IPMAT and JIPMAT.
- Number of Applicants: The number of applicants is also a crucial factor. With a rising trend of students towards management courses, the number of JIPMAT and IPMAT applicants keeps on rising every year. This in turn makes the acceptance rate stoop lower.
- Exam Difficulty: The scores of the entrance tests for IPMAT and JIPMAT are an important part of the selection process. The difficulty level of these tests determines whether the cutoff for the same will remain on the higher or lower side. A higher cutoff indicates lower IPMAT and JIPMAT acceptance rates.
- Institutes: IPMAT and JIPMAT are offered by some of the most prestigious institutes such as the IIMs. The acceptance rate for such institutes is generally low compared to the total applications they receive every year.
IPMAT Acceptance Rate
The IPMAT acceptance rate for IIM Indore is around 0.006. This means that for every 1000 candidates that apply for IPMAT, only 7 candidates get selected after the shortlisting process. The total number of seats for IPMAT is 450. The IPMAT seat distribution across different colleges is given in the table below.

JIPMAT Acceptance Rate
The JIPMAT acceptance rate is around 0.02 i.e. for every 1000 candidates that apply merely 2 candidates can make it through the entire selection process. The total number of seats for JIPMAT is 260 which is around half of IPMAT seats. The seat distribution among IIMs for JIPMAT is given in the table below.

Q: Is JIPMAT easier than IPMAT?
A:
In terms of the difficulty level both IPMAT and JIPMAT are considered to be the same. The exam pattern for both is also almost the same. The only difference is in the number of questions asked across different sections. The marking scheme is also the same for both.
Q: What is the acceptance rate for the IPMAT?
A:
The IPMAT acceptance rate is a mere 0.006 i.e. for every 1000 applicants only 6 or 7 can make it to the final merit list. Apart from the IPMAT score the Personal Interview round also carries a significant weightage in the overall selection process. The weightage of the Personal Interview is 35%.
Q: What are the IPMAT seats for General Category?

The IPMAT seats reserved for General category candidates are around 30.5%. The number of seats for General category candidates comes to be around 135 (approx.). The seats for reserved category candidates are around 315 (approximately).
Q: Does IIM Jammu accept IPMAT scores?
A:
IIM Jammu does not accept IPMAT scores. IIM Jammu accepts the JIPMAT exam scores for admission to its 5-year full-time integrated program in management. The first three years of the program are for BBA courses and the two years are for MBA courses. The average package is approximately 16.5 Lakhs per annum.

The acceptance rate for IPMAT Rohtak is low primarily due to limited seats, intense competition, and the exam's high difficulty. IIM Rohtak offers only 165 spots for its five-year integrated management program, while thousands of candidates compete for them.

IPMAT ( Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore for the admission in its five years course Integrated Program in Management Program (IPM).
One can directly appear for this exam just after completion of your 12th standard in any stream, you just need to meet the required eligibility criteria.
This exam assesses candidates in three particular domains that is quantitative aptitude (QA) , Logical reasoning (LR) and Verbal Ability ( VA) . The candidate has to meet the minimum cut off marks in all three domains. After clearing the written exam candidate will qualify for the interview round.

- However, the results for IPMAT Indore 2025, which took place on May 12, 2025, are expected to be released this week, most likely between May 31 and June 5, 2025, or in the first week of June.

The expected IPMAT 2025 cutoff for TAPMI's Integrated Program in Management ( IPM ) is anticipated to be around 60-75 marks , based on previous trends.
While TAPMI has not officially released cutoffs scores , data suggests that candidates scoring within this range have had favorable chances of selection .

- Having henna (mehendi) marks on your hand is not usually an issue for the IPMAT exam. Official IPMAT exam day guidelines do not explicitly state a prohibition on henna or mehendi. In other such national-level tests, it is not an issue unless the marks are so large that they hinder biometric authentication or cause suspicion of using unfair means.
- If your henna is light or nearly washed off, you will not have any issue.
- In the case of heavily regulated tests such as NEET, henna is avoided, but the guidelines of IPMAT are not quite as strict on this.
- Where possible, attempt to wash as much as possible off, particularly from your fingertips, as biometric scanning (such as fingerprint scanning) could be used.
