IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2018: CAT Score gets same weightage as Last year in the Final Merit List

IIM Trichy Admission CriteriaIIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2018 – IIM Tiruchirappalli or IIM Trichy has released the admission criteria for its 2018-20 batch with keeping the weightage to CAT score in the final merit list same as last year – 50 percent. The admission criteria 2018 of IIM Trichy has gone through very small changes in terms of the final merit list. The components of the final selection are CAT score, Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT), Work Experience, Past academic performance, Diversity and Professional qualification. For the final merit list, the weightage to PI and WAT has been slightly reduced. Candidates who have applied to the institute for admission must check the IIM Trichy admission criteria 2018 to know about the step by step guide of the admission process.

Stage 1: IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2018 – Shortlisting candidates based on CAT score for WAT and PI process

The first stage is the common eligibility criteria for shortlisting candidates for WAT and PI process. This criterion is same for all other participating IIMs for CAP 2018. The following table explains the minimum eligibility criteria i.e. CAT sectional and overall percentile.

Note: It must be noted that the cut-off percentiles given above are indicative. The actual cut-off percentiles for the 2018-20 batch may vary from those mentioned. IIM Tiruchirappalli will decide the number of candidates to be called for the PI & WAT for each of the above categories, depending on which the cutoff percentiles can change.

 

Stage 2: IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2018 – WAT and PI

The shortlisted candidates will be appearing for WAT and PI and that would be conducted at New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The exact date for PI & WAT will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates by IIM Rohtak which is co-ordinating for 2018-20 batch on behalf of IIM Rohtak, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Bodhgaya & IIM Sambalpur.

 

Stage 3: IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2018 – Preparing Final Merit/Selection List

The final merit list will be generated using the following parameters and corresponding weightage to arrive at the composite score of the candidates.
