SMAT 2025 Exam: Registrations, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus, Admit Card, Result

In order to apply for Shiv Nadar University for MBA admission 2025, applicants first need to register on the official website of Shiv Nadar University. After registration, the application form of SMAT 2025 is available for download. Candidates can also choose to not take the SMAT test but apply through scores of any of the following exams:

GMAT/GRE-2021-25 or CAT (2021-25) or XAT/NMAT/GATE (2021-25)

Steps to fill SMAT 2025 application form

• Visit the official website of Shiv Nadar University and register with the help of a valid email ID and password
• After registering for SMAT, a unique ID number will be generated through which candidates can access the application form of SMAT 2025
• Fill in the SMAT application form 2025 and verify that all the information entered is correct before clicking on the final ‘Submit’ button
• Pay the application fee of Rs. 1200 through any of the payment modes available like-

1. Net banking
2. Debit/credit card
3. A Demand draft - In favour of Shiv Nadar University payable at Noida. The DD must be sent to the following address along with a hard copy of the filled up application form of SMAT 2025.

• It is ideal for the candidates to preserve a copy of the filled SMAT application form 2025 along with payment receipt until the end of the admission process.

100% Application Fee Waiver

Candidates who are holding Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate will be given 100% application fee waiver based on the score obtained in any of the following entrance examinations:

• CAT- 60 percentile or above
• XAT- 60 percentile or above
• CMAT- 80 percentile or above
• NMAT- Score 180 or above
• GMAT- Score 550 or above

Before filling out the SMAT application form, candidates must check the SMAT 2025 eligibility criteria in order to avoid cancellation or inconvenience during the admission process. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria of SMAT 2025 which is specified by Shiv Nadar University :

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, from any of the recognized Universities, Deemed Universities, Institutions of National Importance, or from a Professional Body including ICAI, ICSI, ICWAI, etc. Additionally, they must have scored a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in their graduation.
• Candidates appearing for their final year exams of graduation or post-graduation are also eligible to apply for the programme. They will have to produce a certificate by the last week of November 2025, from the Principal/Registrar of their college/ institute stating that they have completed all the requisites for obtaining the bachelor's degree/ equivalent. The transcript or mark sheet of the final examination should be submitted at the Registrar's office latest by the last week of October 2025.

• Besides the academic qualifications, candidates must also have scored above 65 percentile in any of the following qualifying examinations-

GMAT/GRE-2021-25 or CAT (2021-25) or XAT/NMAT/GATE (2021-25)
OR
(vi) valid scores in SMAT (Shiv Nadar University Management Aptitude Test)*

*Candidates who have valid scores in CAT/GMAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT as mentioned above are exempt from appearing for SMAT 2025.

Shiv Nadar University specifies the SMAT 2025 exam pattern. The entrance exam was conducted in paper-pencil mode for the applicants who have registered. The exam conducted for a duration of 90 minutes. As per the exam pattern of SMAT 2025, the exam has three sections: 

1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
3. Verbal and Reading Comprehension. 

Each of the three sections carries objective-type questions. As per the marking scheme, each section carries 40 marks making it a total of 120 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. In order to perform well, aspirants must have a good understanding of the syllabus and exam pattern of SMAT 2025.

The SMAT 2025 result is communicated to the students who then had to appear for the personal evaluation process that will be held by the authorities. The result of SMAT 2025 indicates the student's details about their performance in the entrance exam. It is also a screening for the next stage in the selection process which is the personal evaluation stage after which candidates who clear it will be offered admissions.

The selection process of SMAT involves clearing both the SMAT and the personal interview round. The weightage for SMAT and PI is 80% and 20 % respectively. Candidates with above 65 percentile in CAT 2021, 22/ NMAT 2021, 22/ XAT 2022, 23/ Valid GMAT (2019 onwards) are eligible directly for the personal interview round. Candidates applying on the basis of CMAT scores must note that they are exempt from SMAT only if they have scored 80 percentile or above in CMAT 2024/2025.
