Normalization Process for DU JAT 2018

Delhi University has followed the process of normalization in order to score the candidates. It was officially notified that the aspirants opting for JAT BMS/BBA (FIA) & B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics will undergo this process wherein their marks will be subjected to the Normalization Process called EquiPercentile Equating, a widely adopted & internationally accepted method of score normalization in multi-batch exams. The percentile ranks so derived & equated will be used as input criteria to finalise the merit list. Normalization of obtained scores was exercised after the test on all shifts was concluded for the same subject.

The merit ranking of candidates will be executed on the basis of normalized marks. The following factors have been considered in determining the merit ranking-

  • Number of test takers

  • The difficulty level of examination

  • Maximum marks obtained in the examination

  • Average score obtained by candidates.
