The normalization process of CUET 2023 is known as equi-percentile equating, which is an internationally accepted method. The derived and equated percentile will be used as input criteria for the merit list finalization. The obtained scores will be normalized after the test on all shifts will be ended for the same subject.
On the basis of the CUET normalized marks, the merit ranking of the candidates will be completed.
Following are the factors that determine the merit ranking:
Number of test-takers
Average score obtained by candidates
Maximum marks obtained in the CUET exam
The difficulty level of CUET 2023
Candidates who have become eligible to appear for the admission process of the CUET exam can check the steps that are given below to know how to apply and appear for the same.
Step 1: Visit the official website
To enroll in the CUET participating colleges 2023, candidates have to first visit the official website of Delhi University.
Step 2: Select order of preference
Candidates will then have to state their order of course and college preferences while filling the application form. It will be mandatory for all candidates to fill in at least one preference of the course and college while filling the CUET (DU JAT) 2023 registration form.
Step 3: No preference category
Candidates can also choose to not select any further additional preference by selecting “No Preference” from the drop-down menu which will be available for both course and college fields. Candidates must note that the preference selected by them can not be altered.
On the basis of the CUET 2023 selection procedure, candidates will be called for seat allotment on the basis of ranks received and their personal preferences. Higher rank/score candidates will be called first for the counselling session. It is most likely that after the first round of counselling sessions, Delhi University will release a new cut off list on the official website for admission in the remaining seats. The participating institutes of the CUET exam will conduct further rounds. During the selection procedure of CUET 2023, candidates have to carry the following list of documents with them:
DU JAT 2023 admit card along with an attested photograph
Senior Secondary examination mark sheet (attested copy)
Original documents of qualification
Certificate of category
CUET 2023 scorecard
Photographs (5 to 6 passport size)

Furthermore, candidates who have preferred a programme/college during online registration will be centrally processed for all the counselling rounds/allotment procedure in an automated manner.
As per the University of Delhi, the CUET 2023 selection procedure is divided into two parts - qualifying the exam and CUET result. The percentage scored by the candidates in the qualifying examination will be used to prepare the rank. The rank will then be calculated as the simple average of the percentage scored in the qualifying examination in four subjects: Mathematics, English, and any two listed subjects. Based on the parameters and weightages mentioned below, the final selection of the candidates will be made:
Parameters | Weightages |
