Careers360: Tell us something about yourself, such as where you are from.
Arpita Chandra: My name is Arpita Chandra. I am from Kolkata itself. Being from the same city has helped me adapt easily to the institute environment while focusing more on academics and personal growth.
Careers360: Presently, which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Arpita Chandra: I am currently pursuing an MBA with a major in Business Analytics and Data Science, and I am in my final year of the programme.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Arpita Chandra: Yes, initially, the compact class schedule till 5:30 PM felt challenging. However, later I realized that this structure is designed for our betterment, helping us build discipline, time management skills, and prepare us to face the corporate world.
Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs or extracurricular activities?
Arpita Chandra: The institute has many active clubs such as arts, sports, literature, and social activity clubs. These clubs encourage student participation, creativity, teamwork, and overall personality development along with academics.
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Arpita Chandra: My day usually starts with a morning run, followed by breakfast and getting ready for classes. I attend lectures and actively participate in class, and whenever I have doubts, I approach my professors for better clarity. During class breaks, I either go for a quick chai break or spend time chatting with friends. Come back from college and had dinner after freshen up, sometimes try to revise the things taught at class and preparing for the next day.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio and teacher-student relationship.
Arpita Chandra: The faculty-student ratio is balanced, which allows proper interaction. Teachers are approachable, supportive, and always ready to clear doubts and guide students academically.

Careers360: What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like the most?
Arpita Chandra: The campus has two floors in the building with well-maintained classrooms, all of which are equipped with smart boards and projectors. It also includes an auditorium, cafeteria, computer lab, and library, along with washrooms on each floor. The availability of both academic and basic facilities in one place makes the campus convenient and student-friendly.
Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels, and how about cleanliness?
Arpita Chandra: Currently, the institute does not have hostel facilities. Most students stay in nearby accommodations and commute to the campus.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you access medical help in emergencies?
Arpita Chandra: Basic medical facilities are available on campus, in case of any emergency, students are guided and supported to access nearby hospitals or medical centers promptly.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?
Arpita Chandra: I manage my time by planning tasks, setting priorities, and maintaining a proper schedule for studies, projects, and rest.
Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies and their importance.
Arpita Chandra: The institute has several active clubs that contribute to overall student development. Unispeak focuses on debate, impromptu speaking, and storytelling to improve communication skills. Unilit, the literature club, encourages reading, writing, and creative thinking. Unisports promotes physical fitness and teamwork through sports activities. Uniserve engages students in social work and community services like blood donation camps, cleaning drives - helping build social responsibility. Unibizz focuses on business reports, quizzes, and management-related activities like business fairs, enhancing analytical and professional skills. Uniqarts enhances music, dance, and poetry through competition and events.
Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for campus events?
Arpita Chandra: Yes, the institute shares information about events and activities through internal notices and publications, which keep students updated. Also, Unibizz club publishes an in-house online business magazine circulated to students.
Careers360: What are the popular hangout places in and around the campus?
Arpita Chandra: Students usually spend time on campus during breaks. Outside the campus, nearby food stalls are popular places where students go to eat and relax with friends.
Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time on campus?
Arpita Chandra: During leisure time on campus, I usually interact with friends, take short breaks between classes, revise notes, or relax to refresh my mind.
Careers360: Do you have a Facebook page or blog where students express their views?
Arpita Chandra: I have a personal Facebook account for my own use, but I do not manage or maintain any public page or blog for student views.
Careers360: What types of companies come for campus recruitment, and how is the process?
Arpita Chandra: Various companies like ITC, Mondelez, Dabur, Manikaran Power Ltd, TCS and many others from different sectors visit the campus for recruitment. The placement process is well-structured, including training, aptitude tests, interviews, and guidance from the placement cell.
