IPMAT Selection Procedure 2026

A sufficient number of candidates will be selected from the eligible pool of candidates. The candidates who don't appear either in the written test of IPMAT or PI will not be considered eligible for the selection process. Based on the IPMAT test, IIM Indore will release the provisional shortlist of candidates for Personal Interviews. Candidates who appeared for the test can check their IPMAT results at the IIM Indore website.

IIM Indore will conduct IPMAT 2026 on May 4, 2026. IIM Indore will announce the IPMAT result in the form of a provisional list, and candidates will be able to check the same by using the IPMAT application number and registered email ID/ DOB.

IPMAT Indore Selection Process - Overview

IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is an accredited entrance examination for admission to a five-year integrated program in management at an Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore. IPMAT Selection Process Dates 2026

Indian Institute of Management, Indore will announce the list of selected candidates as per IPMAT 2026 important dates. All candidates should regularly check the IPMAT important dates so as not to miss any mandatory information related to the IPMAT 2026 entrance exam. The selection process for IPMAT 2026 is divided into five phases.

Phases of IPMAT 2026 Selection Procedure

To get admission to the Indian Institute of Management, five-year Integrated Management Program, candidates have to go through five selection phases of the IPMAT exam. IPMAT 2026 is a five-year program in which candidates will receive a Bachelor of Arts (Foundations of Management) and a Masters of Business Administration (under the Dual Degree Program) by IIM Indore. So, candidates do not need to worry about what CAT is and how to prepare CAT for an MBA degree.

Indian Institute of Management, Indore, will not allow admission to candidates only on the basis of clearing the IPMAT 2026 entrance. According to the IPMAT selection procedure, all candidates must qualify in all rounds to be invited to the five-year integrated program from IIM Indore.

Steps Involved in IPMAT Selection Process 2026

Below are the steps and details involved in the IPMAT 2026 selection process phases.

Phase 1: IPMAT Registration 2026

Only eligible students are permitted to appear for the Aptitude Test (AT). The application fee is Rs. 4130 to be paid by General Category Candidates (Fee for SC/ST/PwD candidates is Rs. 2065).

NOTE: There will be no change in the category of candidates once the IPMAT 2026 application form is submitted.

Phase 2: IPMAT Exam 2026

* Each question has 4 marks and 1 wrong mark for each wrong answer except for Quantitative Ability (SA).

Phase 3: Personal Interview (PI)

Those who qualify for the Aptitude Test round will be eligible for a personal interview. The interview determines students' level of confidence, general awareness, communication skills, motivational skills, and knowledge. It is managed by an admissions committee.

Phase 4: Merit List Generation

In this case, the listed candidates must appear for the video assessment round. Such candidates are required to upload a self-recorded video file within a specified period after the results are announced. Candidates will be given a set of questions to record and upload their videos. Candidates who fail to do so will be disqualified from further rounds. An eligibility list will be generated based on the Aptitude Test score.

Computation of Aptitude Test Score

The maximum score and minimum score are the highest and lowest marks obtained by the students from the eligible pool in the respective sections.

Phase 5: IPM Admission Final List

As part of the selection process for IPMAT, IIM Indore will publish the final merit list by category-wise. The candidate's merit list will be announced based on the composite score as mentioned below. IIM Indore will not provide any information to the unselected candidates.
