Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur released the selection criteria for MBA admission in the 2024–26 batch on its official website. IIM Kashipur selection criteria being adopted for selecting the students for the MBA involve two stages: CAT 2023 and shortlisting. Candidates who meet the IIM Kashipur CAT cut off will be shortlisted for the next selection round. Read this article to know about IIM Kashipur admission criteria 2024, fee structure, cutoff, etc.

IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2024

IIM Kashipur belongs to the Baby IIMs category and hence is currently offering admissions to three postgraduate programmes, which are given below. The IIM Kashipur 2024 admission criteria given below is divided into three stages after the CAT exam is over and the result is declared. The IIM Kashipur selection criteria involves three stages:

  1. Shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview (PI)

  2. Generation of Merit List

  3. Generation of Final Admission offer List Grand Total

As per the admission criteria of IIM Kashipur 2024, below are details of the different stages of the IIM Kashipur admission process 2024.

Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview (PI)

On the basis of the IIM Kashipur CAT cut off candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds of the admission process. Candidates whose names appear in the list of shortlisted candidates will be called for the WAT and PI processes for admission to the MBA batch of 2024–26 as per the IIM Kashipur admission criteria 2024.

Stage 3: Generation of Final Admission offer List Grand Total

(C) = PI Total (2a) + Shortlist Total (2b). The Grand Total (C) will be used to rank students according to their merit.

Women managers who receive an offer letter from IIM Kashipur will be provided special facilities to visit the campus before taking admission. The institute will reimburse the AC-3 fare and provide a one-night stay on campus.

IIM Kashipur Reservation Criteria 2024

IIM Kashipur will follow the Government of India norms on reservations for Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC-OBC), DAP (Differently- abled Person), and EWS (Economically Weaker Section).

Withdrawal and Refund Rules

A refund will be processed after one month of withdrawal.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs)

1. Can a candidate having CAT 2022 score apply for MBA in IIM Kashipur?

No, as per the admission criteria of IIM Kashipur 2024, only CAT 2023 exam score will be valid for MBA admission.

2. Is a candidate in the final year of Bachelor’s degree eligible to apply in IIM Kashipur?

Yes, final year candidates’ can also apply. However, they have to fulfil the admission requirements by the time of joining.

3. When will CAT 2023 be conducted?

IIM Lucknow conducted the CAT 2023 in Computer Based Test mode in three shifts on November 26, 2023.

4. Is a candidate applying for MBA eligible to take admission in MBA (Analytics) as well?

No, candidates will have to apply for both programs separately due to differences in admission criteria of both programs.

To answer your question, NO, work experience in not compulsory for MBA in Business Analytics from IIM Kashipur.

Though, having work experience would definitely help in your interview, and further ahead in your career, but it is definitely not compulsory.

I would suggest your brother to go for IIM( Indian Institute of Management ) Trichy(Tiruchirappalli ) as it is definitely a better IIM than IIM Kashipur as according to NIRF rankings  IIM Trichy is at 17 where as IIM Kashipur is at 33 so you can see the huge difference , also IIM Kashipur is a very new IIM in comparison to Trichy .

Your brother should choose a better college than the one which is closer to home .The placement scenario of Trichy is much better than Kashipur .

The Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur is one of the most recent IIMs, established to continue the legacy of the esteemed management institutions. Established in 2011 by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, the institute offers four programs, of which three are management courses in the postgraduate level while one is a PhD program.

IIM Kashipur, which was established under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow, has slowly but surely established its footing in the Indian business school industry.

The IIM Kashipur admission criteria 2022-24 includes qualifying CAT cut off percentile :
