CAT 2015 Syllabus
CAT 2015 Syllabus – CAT 2015 was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad for the academic year 2016-18 on Sunday, November 29, 2015. The official notification was announced on Sunday, July 26, 2015. If you are keen to join the MBA bandwagon, you must check thoroughly the CAT 2015 Syllabus to prepare accordingly for the next year.
Although there was no official CAT 2015 Syllabus, if you introspect on the past years’ analysis of CAT, you would be able to grasp the areas you need to prepare for the exam. The exam pattern had undergone major changes. There were 3 sections, Quantitative Ability, Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. Hence, candidates needed to prepare of a total number of 4 areas, namely, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. The Quantitative Ability and Verbal & Reading Comprehension had 34 questions and there were 32 questions in Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning.

CAT 2015 Syllabus for Quantitative Ability
The overall topics are given as follows:

Out of 50 questions in the section Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, there are 30 questions that come from the Quantitative Ability area.
CAT 2015 Syllabus for Verbal Ability
This section basically tests the English language skill of the test takers. The question types are divided in 2 parts, Reading Comprehension and English Usage. The English Usage questions can be further classified into Vocabulary, Grammar and Verbal Reasoning. There are 30 questions in this section. The following topics in this area include the following:

Word Usage (Vocabulary)
Fill in the blanks
CAT 2015 Syllabus for Data Interpretation
The questions from this area are mainly in the form of caselets. The test takers have to analyze the data given in various ways and answer the questions. The question types include the following:
Combination of Graphs
CAT 2015 Syllabus for Logical Reasoning
Like Data Interpretation area, this area too consists of questions in the form of caselets. The following topics are commonly asked in the Logical Reasoning area:
Constraint based puzzles
Clocks and Calendars
Before you start preparing on the basis of the above mentioned CAT 2015 Syllabus, let us clear a caveat. These are not the sole topics and you have to prepare. The CAT 2015 Syllabus is vast enough covering topics from Class VIII to Graduation level subjects. Moreover, the CAT paper comes up with surprises every year, hence grip yourself with all possible preparation measures in order to secure a high percentile and clear the cutoff.
Unlike last year, the sections were time bound. Each section was to be completed within 1 hour or 60 minutes, making the total duration to be 3 hours. CAT 2015 was a computer based test of multiple choice objective type questions. However, some questions were not of MCQ type and were to be answered directly by typing in the space provided.
CAT 2015 application process was from August 6 to September 25, 2015. The total number of applicants in CAT 2015 was 2,18,664. The admit card was available from October 15. Unlike past years, CAT 2015 was conducted in a single day test window in two slots.
The exam conducted in 136 Cities comprising 650 Test Sites. Last year, the number of test cities was 99.

I noticed yesterday that my DOB is wrong in the form.I mailed the authorities but they said noting can be done.Has anyone faced such a problem before?Were they able to give the exam?Did it affect the later process?Is there any solution to this? KIndly help me out.I prepared diligently for this(CAT)
see you should be very careful while applying for any exam or form filling. however you may still get the admit card and participate in the exam. but at the time of document verification you have to face questions about the wrong dob. later it would be solely depends on the exam authority whether they would accept the application or not.

can a ews category student apply for private medical college? and is the fees same for gen cat. and ews cat. student for private medical college?
The EWS category is an official reservation category that needs to be considered for admission into every college. So college consider EWS category also as other category. You can surely apply for private medical College.
Most of the colleges doesn't have fees as per the reservation. The fees seems to be same for every student. There might be some college that may offer scholarship to reserved category students .
