Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Mahadevswamy: Yes, in the beginning, I faced some difficulty adjusting to the new environment and managing time, but gradually I got comfortable with the college atmosphere.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

Mahadevswamy: The institute has a lot to offer outside of regular classes. Students can take part in cultural events, play different sports, or use the gym facilities to stay active. There are also clubs focused on specific areas like Marketing, Finance, HR, and CSR, where you can learn practical skills and work on projects. I’m part of the CSR club, which is all about giving back to society. Being in this club helps me pick up new ideas and experiences while also connecting with people and communities outside the campus. It’s a nice way to balance learning with real-world exposure.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Mahadevswamy: A typical day at the institute is quite structured yet balanced. The morning usually begins with attending classes, where most of the academic learning takes place. After lectures, time is spent working on assignments or engaging in group discussions with classmates to share ideas and complete projects. Later in the day, students often participate in club activities or spend some time with friends, which adds a social and interactive element to campus life. In the evening, the focus shifts back to studies, revising lessons, or preparing for the next day’s schedule. Finally, the day winds down with some relaxation before going to

sleep. Overall, it’s a routine that blends academics, extracurriculars, and social interactions in a simple and manageable way.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Mahadevswamy: The faculty-to-student ratio at the institute is quite healthy, which means students get enough attention and guidance from their teachers. The teachers are not only knowledgeable but also very approachable, making it easy for students to reach out whenever they need help. They support us in academics by clarifying doubts and guiding projects, but they also extend their mentorship to personal growth, encouraging us to develop confidence and practical skills. Overall, the relationship between faculty and students is friendly and supportive, creating an environment where learning feels engaging and balanced.

Careers360: What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most, which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Mahadevswamy: The campus provides all the essential facilities that make student life smooth and enjoyable. There are classrooms and libraries for academics, sports grounds and a gym for fitness, hostels for accommodation, and cafeterias for food and relaxation. Along with these, there are different clubs and activity centres where students can explore their interests beyond studies.

What I personally find most unique here is the strong focus on extracurricular involvement, whether it’s cultural events, professional clubs like Marketing, Finance, HR, or CSR, or community-based initiatives. This mix of academics with opportunities for personal growth is what makes the campus experience truly different and special.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels, and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Mahadevswamy: The hostels on campus are quite comfortable and provide a good environment for students to live and study. Rooms are well maintained, and the facilities are designed to meet basic needs like proper furniture, ventilation, and access to common areas. Cleanliness is given importance, with regular housekeeping and upkeep to ensure hygiene standards are met. Overall, the hostel life is convenient and supportive, making it easier for students to focus on their academics and activities without worrying about living conditions.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Mahadevswamy: The institute provides adequate medical facilities for students, ensuring that health needs are taken care of on campus. Basic medical support is available within the premises, and in case of emergencies, quick arrangements are made to nearby hospitals or clinics. The management is very supportive and makes sure that students can get the required medical attention without any delay. Overall, this gives a sense of security and reassurance, knowing that proper care is accessible whenever needed.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

Mahadevswamy: Balancing studies, projects, exams, and other activities is all about managing time smartly and keeping priorities clear. I usually start by focusing on classes and assignments during the day so that the academic work doesn’t pile up. Group projects and discussions are scheduled in between, which also helps in learning together. Evenings are often spent on club activities or sports, giving me a break from academics while still being productive. As exams approach, I make sure to plan my study schedule so I can revise without stress. By dividing time between academics, extracurriculars, and relaxation, I’m able to keep things balanced and avoid feeling overwhelmed. It’s a routine that keeps me disciplined but also allows space for fun and personal growth.

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant they are from your point of view or students' point of view?

Mahadevswamy: The campus has many clubs and societies that give students a chance to learn and grow outside of regular classes. These include professional clubs like Marketing, Finance, HR, and CSR, along with cultural and activity-based groups. They provide a platform to explore interests, build skills, and connect with others. From a student’s point of view, these clubs are very important because they help in overall development. They not only make learning more practical but also encourage teamwork, confidence, and creativity. Being part of such societies makes campus life more engaging and adds value beyond academics.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Mahadevswamy: Yes, the institute has its own in-house magazine and journal that shares updates about the latest events, cultural programs, and academic activities happening on campus. It also gives students a chance to contribute articles and showcase their creativity. From a student’s point of view, it’s a simple and effective way to stay informed and feel connected with everything going on in the institute.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Mahadevswamy: Within the institute, popular hangout spots include the cafeteria, common areas, and open spaces where students usually relax, interact, and spend time between classes. These places are lively and help in building strong peer connections, making campus life more enjoyable. Nearby, students often visit cafes, restaurants, and malls for relaxation and outings. These spots are convenient and provide a refreshing break from the academic routine while also being great for socializing with friends. Overall, there are plenty of options both inside and around the campus for students to unwind and have a good time.

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time on campus?

Mahadevswamy: In my leisure time on campus, I usually spend time with friends at the cafeteria or in the common areas, relaxing and chatting. Sometimes I take part in club activities or cultural events, which are a fun way to explore interests beyond academics. Sports grounds and open spaces are also great for unwinding, whether it’s playing a game or just walking around. Overall, leisure time here is a mix of relaxation, socialising, and engaging in activities that make campus life enjoyable and balanced.

Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life on campus?

Mahadevswamy: Yes, the campus has its own Facebook page where students often share their views, ideas, and even light-hearted posts like jokes. It’s a space that keeps everyone connected and updated about what’s happening around. In addition, there are blogs where students write about their experiences of campus life, which gives a more personal touch and helps others relate to their journey. Overall, these platforms make communication lively and give students a voice outside the classroom.

Careers360: What types of companies come for campus recruitment, and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

Mahadevswamy: Reputed companies like Mahindra Finance, Ivy Homes, Happequity, and Fincart visit our campus for placements. The institute provides excellent placement support, and almost 100% of students get placed every year, which makes the process very reliable and encouraging for students.

The recruitment process is well-structured. It usually begins with an aptitude test to check logical and analytical skills. This is followed by a group discussion (GD) round where communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities are assessed. Finally, students go through a personal interview where their technical knowledge, confidence, and overall suitability for the role are evaluated. The entire process runs smoothly, and the placement cell offers proper training and guidance to help students prepare and succeed.
