MICA admission 2026 is all set to commence from September 2025, tentatively. Admission to MICA Ahmedabad will begin with registration, which will be followed by the MICAT exam 2026. The exam will be conducted in two batches, which will be held in December 2025 and January 2026. Apart from the MICAT score, the institute will also accept scores from other entrance exams such as CAT, XAT and GMAT (for foreign nationals). MICA admission 2026 has basic eligibility requirements, which all candidates must fulfil before applying for admission to MICA Ahmedabad.
Candidates must complete their bachelor's or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Those appearing for their final examination or awaiting the results of their final examination can also apply for the MICA admission process, provided they fulfil the following:
You must submit a certificate duly signed by the principal/ director/ registrar/ head of the department of the institution/ university certifying that the candidate is in the final year/has completed the final year examination and is awaiting the result.
If selected for the MICA admission, the submission of a certificate allows you to join the program provisionally and be confirmed upon submission of the final marksheet and graduation certificate.
The MICA selection process for 2026 tests candidates on various components, each with multiple sections. The following points discuss the detailed MICA selection process:
Candidates are required to appear for the MICAT examination mandatorily. MICAT is a computer-based test and is conducted twice a year. A candidate can write both, and the best score of both will be considered.
Candidates need to submit at least one of their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores at the time of filling out the application form.
All the aspirants are assessed on the basis of their performance in the MICAT examination. The MICAT includes three sections.
Section A: Psychometric Test
Section B: Descriptive Test
Section C: (has 4 sub-sections) – Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, and General Awareness
The MICA admission 2026 merit list is prepared through a rigorous three-stage filtering process. This involves scores of CAT/XAT/GMAT, performance in MICAT, Group Exercise (GE), and Personal Interview (PI). Refer to the following steps for more information.
Step 1: MICAT section A - Psychometric Test is a qualifier round.
Step 2: Candidates who qualify for Section A, their performance on CAT/XAT/GMAT is considered, requiring a minimum cutoff score.
Step 3: Candidates who meet the cutoff score requirements have their Section C of MICAT evaluated. Their section C marks are normalised, and each subsection in section C requires a minimum sectional percentile.
Step 4: After qualifying section C, the performance in section B - Descriptive Test is evaluated.
Step 5: Candidates appear for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) at multiple centres across the country.
Step 6: The candidate recommended by the majority of panellists will be considered for the final merit list.
The MICA selection process contains various elements with different weightage. The highest weightage will be given to the entrance exam score, i.e 35% while the Group exercise and personal interview are placed at 10% and 20%, respectively. The two-year post-graduation diploma in management costs you around Rs. 26 Lakhs, inclusive of total tuition fees, Residential Charges, and Infrastructure Facility Charges. Those students planning to opt for the International Immersion Programme are (Optional), and their fees are to be an extra.
MICA provides scholarships to reduce the financial burden of meritorious candidates. The MICA scholarship is based on the merit-cum-means basis for students who are currently pursuing a two-year program at MICA. The selection criteria and process required are mentioned below.
MICA Scholarships Selection Criteria:
Family income not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs per annum.
Students' academic performance with at least 3.00 CGPA and 80% attendance in every subject in the first year.
Last three years' Income Tax returns and Bank Statements of all the earning members of the house.
Other achievements, like sports, national or international achievements, may boost chances of selection.
MICA Scholarships Selection Process:
Notification and announcement to MICA students regarding the scholarship.
Scrutiny of applications and submission of financial documents as per the selection criteria.
Interview of shortlisted candidates with the MICA scholarships committee.
Recommendation of the names by the MICA scholarship committee to the Director and CEO for approval.
Official notification to the shortlisted candidates regarding the scholarship.
The maximum number of scholarships is 25-30 in a year, and the amount will be 25-100% of the total tuition fees as per the respective program.

MICA admission follows a proper structure and requirements. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and a valid national-level exam score (CAT/XAT/GMAT), and take the MICAT. Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you yes you can certainly admission in MICA Ahmedabad or NMIMS Mumbai with 79% in 10th ,81% in 12th and 86% in b.com as you need to score high in C.A.T exam and N.M.A.T exam as competition is very tough in both the exams and both are one of the best colleges where getting admissions require high percentile.

Yes, you will get a call from MICA if you score more than 75 percentile in CAT/XAT/GMAT and score good in MICAT. The college takes into consideration score of both the exams for final selection. The weightage for selection is as follows:
