IIM Kozhikode Admission Criteria 2020 - Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has released the admission criteria of IIM Kozhikode 2020. The admission criteria prescribes the details for admission to Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) to IIM-K academic year 2020-2022. IIM Kozhikode Admission criteria 2020 will follow the three staged selection process. The three stages consist of the minimum eligibility required, shortlisting of candidates and final shortlisting. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT score and their past academic records. Unlike other IIMs admission criteria, IIM Kozhikode will not conduct group discussion round for shortlisting. Students will be offered admission on the basis of their composite score. Admission to IIM Kozhikode for its post graduate programme in management will consist of three stages:

In the first stage, while filling the CAT registration 2019 candidates who had opted for IIM Kozhikode will be considered for the following minimum eligibility criteria:
CAT percentile 2019
Class 10th percentage
Class 12th percentage
Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability
Only candidates who will fulfill the above mentioned cutoff will receive an email for IIM Kozhikode online registration and will be considered for Stage 2.
In comparison to previous year minimum eligibility criteria the CAT overall and sectional percentile for general and NC-OBC categories has been reduced by 5 points. On the other hand, sectional CAT percentile has been increased by 5 points for scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and PwD. Below is the minimum eligibility criteria for previous year.

Only participants who will complete the registration process will be called for written ability test (WAT) and personal interview (PI). Shortlist will be prepared on the basis of Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The components and its weightage of AIS are as follows:
Index score of CAT 2019
Percentage in Class 10th
Percentage in Class 12th
Academic/ Gender Diversity Score
The weightage for CAT 2019 score has been reduced greatly by 30 points in comparison to the previous year. Also, weightage for Class 12th percentage has been increased by 7.5%. There has been addition of component, Class 10th percentage and removal of work experience for shortlisting. Earlier, the weightage given to CAT score was 75%. In 2019, the AIS was computed on the basis of the following components:

Let’s look into each component of Aggregate Index Score Computation 2020 in detail:
CAT 2019 Index Score
CAT 2019 scaled score of each section will be considered for computing CAT 2019 index score. It will carry a total weightage off 45%.
Class 10th/SSC Percentage Score
Aggregate marks of all subjects that will appear in the marksheet of Class 10th irrespective of subjects that are not taken into consideration by the board for calculation. The class 10 or equivalent percentage score is calculated by the following method:
Adjusted score = score obtained in boards/ highest percentage score in board.
Final calculation = Adjusted score X 30
Note - Database for percentage score is taken from past three years score inclusive of present year to identify the highest percentage score in the board examination.
Class 12th/HSC Percentage Score
Aggregate marks of all subjects that will appear in the marksheet of Class 12th irrespective of subjects that are not taken into consideration by the board for calculation. The class 12 or equivalent percentage score is calculated by the following method:
Adjusted score = score obtained in boards/ highest percentage score in particular stream of respective board.
Final calculation = Adjusted score X 15
Weightage will be given as per academic and gender diversity. Under gender diversity, only female participants are given diversity score. Also, under academic diversity, participants who have or are pursuing a bachelor's degree under any discipline other than technology/engineering will be eligible for diversity score. Only a score of 10 is applicable either from academic or gender diversity. Both diversities will not be taken into account.
Candidates who will be shortlisted in the stage 2 will have to appear for the written ability test which will be followed by personal interview rounds. The personal appearance round will be conducted in Hyderabad, Kozhikode, New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai. The personal appearance round will be conducted from morning till afternoon. Topic for WAT will be announced before the beginning of session. In the personal interview candidates will be marked on the following parameters:
Academic effort and disposition
Quality of work experience
General awareness and social disposition
Personality and communication
After the WAT-PI rounds, the final score will be computed based on the following components and its weightage:

In comparison to previous year, the score for PI has been reduced by 10%, whereas the score for written ability test and resume has been increased by 5% respectively. Refer the previous year score below for reference:
IIM Kozhikode will follow the reservation policy as prescribed by Government of India for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).

Candidates must get the original documents for academic, work experience, reservation (if any), awards and other certifications for WAT-PI.
Candidates who will receive the offer letter by IIMK and are willing to accept the offer, will have to submit the amount of Rs. 75,000 along with the acceptance of the offer. Candidates will be required to register in the stipulated period and pay the fee as required to complete the process of admission. Also, if the candidate wishes to withdraw the admission, can do so by withdrawing in the stipulated period and will be refunded after the deduction of processing fee.
In case, participant withdraws admission after the specified time and date, he/she will be permitted refund only if there is no shortfall in the batch size as decided.

The final admission to IIM depends on the CAT score as well as the performance in Interview round. To get the interview call from IIM K you should get More than 95 percentile in CAT . Your Academics are quite good. After getting the Interview call, if you can perform well in the Interview round you will definitely get admission in IIM K.
You have a decent score in your academics but iimk has very high Cutoff and thus you'll have to aim for more than 99 percentile. But that too will not guarantee your selection for the college. It is possible that candidate who gets call from iimk may be rejected there. For any IIM atleast more than 98 percentile is required as different IIMs have different criteria for call.

You past score is not going to matter that much. Now you have to appear in CAT exam and after that if you qualify that you will be having a written ability test then after personal interview. This procedure makes your merit so try to score as much as you can.
