Careers360: Tell us something about yourself, such as from which place are you from?
Sanjana: I am Sanjana. I am from Mysore, and I have completed my BSc and MSc in Biotechnology. I am aiming to build a career in Finance.
Careers360: Presently, which course are you pursuing, and in which year are you?
Sanjana: I am pursuing my PGDM from MYRA School of Business, Mysore. I have just completed my first year, and I am currently pursuing my internship.
Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute? Sanjana: No, I did not really face difficulties initially. The people here and the teachers have been really supportive and friendly.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs, etc., for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?
Sanjana: Yes, there are several clubs at MSB, such as the literary club, sports club, cultural club, investment club. I am part of the investment club, which has helped me a lot.
Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Sanjana: I usually wake up, get ready, and get on the bus to college. I catch up on the daily news during the bus ride. After reaching college, I attend classes, usually till 5. We have the investment club activities from 5-6 twice a week. After reaching home, I relax for an hour and then work on assignments or prepare for presentations before I go to sleep.
Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Sanjana: The batch size is small, so the faculty-student ratio is quite good. Professors are very approachable, and interaction is more informal and discussion-based rather than just lectures.
Careers360: What all facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most, which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Sanjana: The campus is beautiful with modern classrooms, library, Wi-Fi, canteen, and common spaces. I really like the faculty here who come from the best institutes in the world and have experience in the best companies. The real-world industry knowledge that they provide is invaluable.
Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Sanjana: Basic medical support is available, and in case of emergencies, good hospitals in Mysore are easily accessible.
Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?
Sanjana: I manage it by planning my tasks and staying consistent. I try my best not to procrastinate and do tasks assigned to me as soon as possible. Since the coursework is intense, time management becomes very important.
Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant they are from your point of view or students' point of view?
Sanjana: There are academic and cultural clubs where students actively participate. They are important because they help build practical skills and teamwork. The investment club is extremely beneficial to those interested in a career in finance, and it’s fun too!
Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Sanjana: There are regular updates through student groups, emails, and communications about events and activities on campus. A yearbook is given to the graduating batch every year.
Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
Sanjana: On campus, common areas and the canteen are popular. Outside, students usually visit cafes and spots around Mysore to relax.
Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time on campus?
Sanjana: I usually spend time with friends, read books, or just relax and unwind after classes.
Careers360: Do you have any Facebook pages of your campus where the students express their views, jokes, or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life on campus?
Sanjana: Yes, there are social media pages (Instagram and LinkedIn) where updates, experiences, and fun content are shared.
Careers360: What types of companies come for campus recruitment, and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?
Sanjana: Companies from mostly marketing, HR, and finance roles visit the campus. The placement process includes aptitude tests, group discussions, and interviews, and a good portion of the batch gets placed.
