CAT 2024 Application Form Correction: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) will open CAT application form correction window in online more probably in the second week of September 2024. CAT correction window will take place in online mode on the official website- iimcat.ac.in. Candidates will have to login with their CAT ID and password to make permissible changes in the application. CAT Application Form Correction Window Dates 2024
IIM will conduct the CAT 2024 probably on November 24, Sunday. CAT is held for admission to MBA/ PGDM programmes offered at IIMs and besides, and there are more than 1000 B-schools in India that also accept the CAT exam for the admission process. Candidates cannot change their email address, date of birth, or mobile number, then they are advised to enter these details carefully and double-check before submitting. Why is CAT Form Rejected?
CAT 2024 exam registrations will be cancelled if the wrong credentials are entered. Each and every information you give in the CAT application form is verified by the concerned authorities. Consequently, providing incorrect information will result in the form being rejected.
IIM will screen your submitted application forms before issuing the CAT admit card. If any errors are found in the details, payment or documents uploaded, your CAT application may be rejected.

Candidates can make corrections in the given details and scanned pictures. The photograph and signature must be in a JPG/ JPEG format only. Therefore, when filling out the application form for CAT 2024, candidates should fill it out carefully.

How to Make Corrections in the CAT Application Form 2024?
When correcting the CAT 2024 registration form, candidates can see the following steps.
- Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT 2024, iimcat.ac.in
- Step 2: Now, click on the “Existing User” tab
- Step 3: Next, enter the login credentials (User ID and Password) and click on the “Login” tab
- Step 4: Now, the candidates can modify/change their photograph and signature and make changes in the test city preference
- Step 5: After making all the required changes click on the “Save” tab
- Step 6: Finally, download and take a printout of the modified CAT 2024 registration form
NOTE: The other way of modifying entries in the CAT 2024 application form is by generating a query on the candidate query form.

Important Points on CAT Application Form Correction 2024
- Candidates should keep all the relevant documents with them while completing the application form of CAT 2024 to avoid mistakes like misspellings, address, caste, Aadhar card details, etc.
- Candidates are advised to double-check the details entered while filling up the online form to avoid any mishap.
- After the closure of the CAT registration window, candidates will be able to edit the following fields; photograph, signature, and test city preferences. After the closure of the registration window, a very short edit window will be made available to the CAT registered candidates. This option will be valid only for those candidates who have paid the applicable registration fee and have registered successfully for CAT 2024 within the specified deadline.
CAT Application Form 2024
CAT application form 2024 will be opened probably in the first week of August. The application form will be available in online mode only. The CAT 2024 registration window will be closed tentatively in the third week of September. When completing the CAT registration form, the candidates have to pay the CAT fee and upload the required documents. Candidates can select six examination centres (cities) of their choice. Before commencing the CAT application process, one should check the eligibility criteria of CAT.

There is a change in the CAT application fee. The CAT application fee for the General Category will be Rs. 2,400 and for the Reserved Category will be Rs. 1,200.

1. How to cancel CAT registration form since I have made a few mistakes in the CAT exam form?
You can't cancel the CAT registration form. If you have made a mistake in Mail ID/ Name/ DOB/ Phone Number, then you have to create a new one. If a candidate paid the CAT application fee, then it will not be refunded.
2. What if I entered the wrong percentage in the CAT form?
You cannot modify these details in the CAT correction window. Hence you can contact the helpline numbers for further solutions.
3. Is there any fee for CAT application correction?
No, you don't have to pay any fee to make corrections in the CAT 2024 application form.
4. What are the timings to contact the candidate helpdesk?
CAT candidates helpdesk is available on phone, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The CAT help desk is closed on Sunday and on national/ public holidays.

5. Can we edit CAT application form after submission?
Candidates can make corrections in uploaded images (photograph, signature) and also in test city preference in the submitted CAT 2024 registration form during the correction window period.

An important thing to note here is that the CAT application form cannot be edited once it is submitted.
7. Can I edit CAT form after payment?
When the CAT form edit window opens, only specific fields can be edited. Candidates can make free changes in their CAT application forms when the form editing window opens.
8. What if i entered wrong percentage in CAT form?
If your percentage change is 2 marks or less then it will not be a problem as you can change your marks in the IIM call record for respective portals

Both GMAT and CAT exams are considered to be highly competitive. Therefore, it is difficult to measure which one is harder than the other as it depends on the individual strengths ,weaknesses, and personal preferences.
GMAT quant section is often considered to be easier, however, its verbal section is tougher for non-native English speakers. Whereas, CAT quant section is considered to be trickier in comparison to the verbal section. Therefore, students are advised to analyse both CAT and GMAT exam pattern carefully before opting for one.

Generally admissions are given based on your rank. So based on your overall percentile in JEE your rank could be between 56470 - 63480 approximately.
Unfortunately, Based on the marks you scored, it will be difficult to get admitted into NIT Trichy under OBC category. However there is also a second chance for you to attend for JEE, so I recommend you to take that chance and score better.
