Careers360: Tell us something about your IBS campus and what made you choose it
    Vaibhav Vinchurkar:
I’m studying at IBS Mumbai, and it’s been a great experience so far. I chose this college because many of my friends recommended it to me, and they were right. It has excellent facilities and a very supportive environment. The campus has given me plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, both inside and outside the classrooms. The emphasis on skill building along with conceptual knowledge is the prime focus of all domain areas. The student activity Clubs and state of the art Labs like Bloomberg, Gen AI, Language and SAP are the unique platforms for exemplary teaching and learning.

Careers360: Summer internship is mandatory in all IBS campuses. Where did you pursue it and what was the duration? What were the steps to get into it?
    Vaibhav Vinchurkar:
I did my summer internship at HDFC Life as a finance intern, where I worked on equity research and analysis. The internship lasted three months. The placement office at IBS Mumbai helped me throughout the process, including connecting me with the company and guiding me for the interviews. Once selected by the company, I was assigned a faculty mentor who coached me along with my assigned industry guide.

Careers360: Please give details on the assistance you received from the faculty, peers, and placement office with regard to the internships?
    Vaibhav Vinchurkar:
The faculty and placement office were very helpful during the internship process. They gave me guidance on how to approach the selection process and improve my skills. My peers were also a big support. We exchanged ideas and motivated each other, which made the process smoother.

    Vaibhav Vinchurkar:
The internship at HDFC Life was a very rewarding experience. It gave me hands-on exposure to equity research and helped me improve my analytical and financial skills. More than that, it boosted my confidence and helped me understand how to work in a professional setup. It was a great learning opportunity that I’ll always value. We were always told that a good internship will lead to good final placement and it has come true.
